A Bug’s Land was second-rate. Avenger’s Campus appears second-rate.

Paradise Pier was second-rate. Pixar Pier is second-rate.

Tower of Terror was second-rate. Guardians is second-rate.

California Screamin’ was second-rate. Incredicoaster is second-rate.

And so on.

Every change you listed added the same element to the park: A heaping dump of obnoxiousness.

Chew-Chew, at least, was based on an original Pixar/Disney character, and not a character who previously starred in a still-thriving ride built by a competitor that makes Disney’s latest look like garbage.

Also, Chew-Chew didn’t exist solely to sell expensive toys.

Heimlich's train is god tier level of a Disney Ride. Web Slingers is just super lame(this is coming from a massive Spider-man and Marvel fan).
What's funny is bugs land was always cheap, but watching that video, I feel early 2000s WDI isn't as cheap looking as 2020s WDI. I'm not even a Bugs Land "fan", but I would rather have it than Avenger Campus.

As someone that gets no joy from meeting people in costumes, I agree. I’ll reserve final judgment after I ride Spider-Man and see the land in person but it’s not looking good. ITTBAB was higher Disney quality than any one thing in Avengers Campus. Of course, Avengers Campus will sell more merch and more people get more out of the new land. It has a repeatable video game ride, is full of popular characters that are relevant now and has tons of instragrammable food. Bugs Land was more whimsical, had more trees/ shade and felt more like a Disney theme park land. Avengers Campus feels like a Chapek land and I guess what we should expect from here on out as long as he’s around.

Also those stunt shows / shows look cheesy as hell. If this is what we re “missing” at Galaxies Edge I’m cool. This is isn’t what I mean when I say atmosphere. Just give me creatures, aliens and droids roaming around. More music in arrangements that match your setting (not blasting the Avengers Score non stop everywhere) and some live music on the village side. I think if you go the stunt show route you can’t half @$$ it and you have to go all in.

I totally agree with you. I love stunt shows. My favorite is the old Batman and Robin stunt show (and Batman Beigins) that used to be at magic mountain.
