This isn’t good for Disney is it? 2 days before a major holiday.
They will be fine.

The $60B signal holds as much weight as the Lake Nona signal.
Just because you like the investment, doesn't mean it is happening. You think there is a scenario where Disney doesn't invest in their parks?

Attractions going down…at Disney? No wayPlus Rise and Tower are currently down (I know someone who was evac’ed off Rise). And RnRC was down this morning. And Indy had “technical difficulties” forcing at least one show to skip the ending.
What is your definition of fine? They will be fine.
Yes definitely not good!Plus Rise and Tower are currently down (I know someone who was evac’ed off Rise). And RnRC was down this morning. And Indy had “technical difficulties” forcing at least one show to skip the ending.
Apparently the excuse is they are open 365 days of the year so when when they have other days they can visit it makes sense.Yes definitely not good!
I really don’t get how people are ignoring from the fact attendance going down.
A few weeks ago I posted wait times, people said schools weren’t fully out for summer yet. What’s the excuse now?
a holiday week in the summer with kids out of school and parents off work you’d think would be packedApparently the excuse is they are open 365 days of the year so when when they have other days they can visit it makes sense.
Define invest? They just “invested” with TBA and i wouldmt consider that a smart investment. Look at Epcot? No way imo willYou think there is a scenario where Disney doesn't invest in their parks?

A friend of mine is down there this week. She is a teacher and goes every year w her daughter roughly same time. This is the “quietest” she can remembera holiday week in the summer with kids out of school and parents off work you’d think would be packed

If WDW was open from May to Sept like seasonal park Cedar its a no brainer the WDW parks would be packed also.Apparently the excuse is they are open 365 days of the year so when when they have other days they can visit it makes sense.
I think you’ll be in luck.I hope the lack of normal crowds lasts 65 more days.
So the excuse is because the parks are open 365 days, they aren’t as crowded in the summer? If WDW was open from May to Sept like seasonal park Cedar its a no brainer the WDW parks would be packed also.
Shhhhh you are saying the quiet part out loud… or maybe its just hot in July like last yearSo the excuse is because the parks are open 365 days, they aren’t as crowded in the summer?
So what’s different now vs when the parks were packed in the summer?
The thing with these wait times though is how they do their FastLane. They have no limits how many times you can ride. So you can be stuck in a hour line because people using the Fast Lane are going through 3, 4, or 5 times while you are waiting to just ride once.Meanwhile at Cedar Point the park is slammed.
While it may not be a week vacation its still a park that most go for 3-4 days.

Crowds are lower than usual nothing new like some other parks ( including non Disney ) open 365So the excuse is because the parks are open 365 days, they aren’t as crowded in the summer?

And the execs making the decisions to make this happen are still employed and are very well compensated for their efforts.I’m sure this has been stated within the 10 pages of this thread, but I always wonder how much of the lessened summer crowds are lessened overall demand, and how much of the lessened crowds are the success of Disney’s goal to equalize the crowd levels throughout the year.
In my head there are two big things besides the price of a ticket increasing and thus decreasing demand:
1: People actually did travel for the 50th and 100th, and so a lot of people’s “trip cooldowns” (meaning that many people do not travel to WDW yearly) are on the same schedule, contributing to smaller crowds.
2: I don’t think Disney dislikes the new trends in crowds. I was looking through the data the other day, and this trend is, seemingly, not unique to this year or last year. It’s a growing trend for the summers to be less busy, and if we can see that reflected in wait time data, Disney has to know about these trends themselves. This leads me to believe that Disney actually LIKES this trend of crowds being more equal throughout the year, with the summers being quieter than a lot of other times of the year. If they didn’t like this new trend, then I feel as though they would have done something more obvious to correct it by now.
