Ok so we have time coming up and I finally get Tim back to Disney :sohappy:. I want to plan something romantic but we are on a tight budget this time around. Sure Vicki & Al's would be great or going back to the Cali Grill. But we just can't afford it this time. So what ideas do you have out there gang? I'm counting on you!

Here is something I have post before however I have made some changes:

Heres 4 thoughts:

1) The Boardwalk comes to mind! Start there, make an ADR at one of the great restaurants located at any of the Epcot resorts, later have a drink at a lounge (may I suggest blue zoo @ the Dolphin its dim lit and romanticly hip) then stroll around the lake and wait for Illuminations or party the night away at JellyRolls.

2) If DTD is more your thing do what I just did back in January, have dinner at the Turf Club then take a short walk around the lake over to the Marketplace and have desert at Goofy's Candy Co. (any lakeside seat will do for enjoying your treats liked the huge chocolate covered strawberries), shop a little around the stores in the Marketplace, then take a trip over to Fuego (Pleasure Island) for a few drinks then wander around and see what other entertainment is availible on Pleasure Island and the Westside. (if the Turf Club doesnt strike your fancy consider any of the many other dining locals in DTD)

3) Have dinner at AKL (I'm a fan of all but for a date night consider Sanna) or go to CSR (Maya Grill is wonderful) then have a drink at either Victoria Falls (AKL Oh and don't for get to check out the animals) or Laguna bar (CSR consider relaxing in a hamock around Lago Dorado) then either way head to Rix Lounge @ CSR for dancing till the wee hours.

4) Do you like fireworks and favor the Magic Kingdom? Well then start at one of the monorail resorts like the Grand Floridian Cafe (GFR), Kona Cafe (Poly), the Wave (CR), or head over to WL for Artist Pointe. If those are still a little pricey then consider packing a blanket go to one of the CS options in anyone of the Monorail resorts and pick up some items to have a picnic on the beach maybe even a bottle of wine or some champagne. Either way go to the one of the resorts beaches (Poly os my personal favorite and check out the fireworks at MK and wait around for the Water Paegant on Seven Seas lagoon and Bay lake.

Have a wonderful time!

There are a lot of things you can do without spending a fortune. For the most part I'm going to leave restaurants out of it because I don't know what kind of budget your working with exactly.

-There is a lot to see and do at AKL with a lot of places to view the savannahs or grab a drink and sit by the fire pit. Grab dinner at Sanaa @Kidani then head over to Jambo and enjoy what they have to offer (or check out Jiko if you can budget it).

-After dinner you can play a night round of mini-golf at Fantasia Gardens then take a walk around the Boardwalk area. Jellyrolls is a lot of fun as a PP mentioned, but you could end up with a pretty big tab if your not careful. :lookaroun

- Take a carriage ride at either POR or Ft. W. The rides run about $40 (for the carriage, not per person) for about half an hour. We have done the one at POR and it was really nice. You can take drinks with you so grab a glass of wine or other drink and take it with you.

-Take a walk around DTD. If your "up" to it, check out Characters in Flight, it's pretty awesome at night. Then head over to Ghirardelli's for some ice cream (best on site IMO).

These are just a couple things you can do without spending a tiny fortune. But most importantly you have to remember, romance is what you make of it.

Ohana followed by fireworks on the beach at the Polynesian is always romantic!

If a sit down meal is too pricey, which I know it can be, you can still have a great date night by picking up something at Captain Cooks and having a picnic on the beach while watching the fireworks.

Grab a drink at the lounge up by Ohana and make it even better!

Whatever you do, enjoy!

Thanks for all the suggestions gang! I was originally thinking Kona then watching Wishes on the beach at the Poly. But the Boardwalk idea sounds really nice too. Definitely have some things to think about!
