Yeah, the squirrels are definately in this version...it's in one of the tv trailers (maybe even the theater trailers) where Willy tells one of the kids "don't touch the squirrel's nuts"....I can honestly say that I really don't know about this movie...I'm sure it'll be great, but it's REALLY out there! I'm thinking about trying to read the book before the movie comes out, just so I can prepare myself a bit.Number_6 said:I just went back and read the book again recently. There are a few differences of course and some things that you don't get to see. One of the big differences is what happens to Veruca Salt. In the old version of the movie, you get the room with the geese laying golden eggs. In the book, it is a room of squirrels going through all the nuts to make sure they are good or bad. That would have been very difficult to do back in the early 70s, but now it's alot easier to pull off.
