character dining

The catch is reasonable price. I guess that depends on your thoughts on what reasonable is. We like Chef Mickeys for dinner. We liked Ohana for breakfast. We were not big fans of Chrystal Palace although many others rave about it. It wasn't terrible just not on the top of our list. As far as price? All the ones we ate at are about $25 per adult. Is the food really worth that much at any of them? Not really but the character interaction makes it worth it to us.

We tried Tusker House for Breakfast this year and LOVED IT!. They only have characters at breakfast(buffet style). I believe the characters are, Daisy, Goofy, Mickey, and Donald is outside of the restaurant. The price is a little cheaper than some of the others I believe we payed $21 a person but I could be wrong...

I totally agree...we always enjoy Tusker House!! Chef Mickey's for breakfast is pretty cool too! The food is always good and always fresh and the fun is there!!

We will agree that Tusker House is a great place for character breakfasts. We also like the character breakfast at Cape May Cafe if you're looking at going outside the parks.

Also, if you are not interested in the fab five characters, you could do Akershaus for breakfast and dine with the princesses. Much cheaper than the castle.

If you go onto this link http://allears.net/din/dining.htm you can get menus and pricing for all dining. This chart can help you determine which dinners are character meals. http://allears.net/din/cbchar.htm

Just from looking around...Garden Grove in the Swan is the only character dinner in the price range you provided (approx $28.99), but we didn't even consider it due to horrible reviews. Looks like Crystal Palace is the next most reasonable dinner at approx $32.99- and that has decent reviews. We're trying it on our next trip. Garden Grill, Chef Mickey's, and 1900 Park Fare are all in the mid $30s. Akershus is around $42-43pp and CRT is over $57 pp...so those are probably not what you're looking for.

Hope this helps.

We really liked the Garden Grille. We weren't huge fans of Chef Mickey's. The only other character dinner we did was the castle, which we loved, but it is expensive. If you are wanting to go cheaper breakfast or lunch might be a better option?

looking for somewhere for dinner $25 - $30

You may want to look at the menus for what they have and the prices, I haven't really ever found a character lunch or dinner where I really liked what they offered. Garden Grill's was pretty good, but in no way would I call it great.

Character meals are great but as stated about $30.00 USD a person. Our favorites are Chef Mickey's and 1900 Park Fare. DW loved the character meal at Liberty Tree Tavern sigh.
