Chape's World Update 11/11/07

Hello everyone back from the World with some great improvements and news.

We'll start at Epcot

-Journey into Imagination is in terrible shape, something needs to be done. 1st figment wasn't working, screens too dim, blurry eye chart, and soft sound effects. Something just wasn't right.

-There are new gates!

-The Lights of Winter are up, but on on yet.

-The Tree is also up, but no stage yet.

Contemporary's new shop is coming along nicely, there's now counters and shelves, but it's still far from done.

On to Magic Kingdom!

-The Tree is up as well! It seems like it's leaning, but maybe that's me.

-Laugh Floor's new pre-show is great! And Mr. Boyle read my mind! Mike explains about the new logo and how he did it himself. We also learn that the CDA is now the Comedy Detection Agency Where "we take comedy seriously." And "the Future of Energy is a Joke."

-Some work going on to the left of city hall, most likely to get ready for Santa.

-There was a surprise showing of "Cinderella's Holiday Wish" last night. Mickey, Minnie, Donald and Goofy came out to discuss (with Articulated faces) how the castle should be decorated. After some argument, the Fairy Godmother appears, who calls for Cinderella to make the final decision. Cinderella suggests using her glass slippers as inspiration for the decor. With a bit of magic, the Fairy Godmother transforms the entire castle into a great visual treat. All the dimmers are perfectly timed, and the show is breathtaking. Here's some pictures (sorry, they may be blurry):

-The Castle lights stay on during Spectromagic:

-However they go out during wishes to allow the normal show, they come back on for the finale just after the Blue Fairy arrives, and go out again for the huge explosives. After the exit music "Wishes", they fade back in.

Ok, that's all for now...Anyone going to WDW over Thanksgiving, I'll be working so look for me!

Chape, a question because I haven't seen the new gates. Where are they in relation to the turnstiles and the Monorail entrance? In the recent past, you had to go through bag check to get to the entrance to the monorail [even if you weren't entering the park]. Has this changed with the permanent fence-line and gates?

No it hasn't changed, the gates just take the place of the ropes that have been there for a while now.

Great update and pictures. It's cool to see the old EPCOT Center Logo on those gates.

Also, I've noticed some of the improvements in MILF as well, saw it on Saturday, and I got picked to be Randal during Mac and Cheese's rendition of the movie. Good fun. :lol:

They are so......close...with the EPCOT entrance.......just need palm trees....leave a legacy paint on SSE legs removed....and a redo of LaL.....so close
