My advice? Keep walking. He’s over his head where he currently is. He’s a solid single park management guy.D’Amaro’s office is just down the hall

Disney also wouldn’t be in the position of firing their CEO on a Sunday night if it wasn’t for Iger.I liked Iger more than a lot of people here. Yes he made a lot of bad decisions, but also made a lot of good decisions as well...he did a lot to steer the company in a good direction overall and helped Disney become the juggernaut it is.
Remember it's possible we wouldn't have Pixar, Lucasfilm, Marvel or Fox (outcome not great yet, I know) without Iger and Disney would be a much smaller company relying on a lot popular less content to keep stable.
Maybe save that for Week 3…How’s this for Iger’s first week:
1. Find suitable successor who can be both creative and make money without being a money-grubbing pig.
2. See #1
Damn, THATS what we should’ve put on that giant billboard near UNI…Some people need a huge billboard with a flashing neon sign. Some people saw his “legacy” to that point and read the writing on the wall.
Agree. This was the plan all along. Slappie was never CEO material, so they give him this deal, he gets lots of money and title for a gory short stint knowing upfront it and sent going to last. When the inevitable house of cards came crashing down, he gets kicked out and Iger now can use the excuse that we’ll have to have some negative quarters to invest to make up for “Chapek’s follies.” Let’s hope at least, because otherwise we’re in even worse trouble, but hopefully now Iger has top cover to make the investments needed without suffering the wrath of Wall Street’s myopic quarterly focus.Maybe Iger was setting Chapek up to be the fall guy?
Annual report prep shows all the doom... They walk Chapek out there to take all the bullets
They let Chapek lead with a big cost cutting agenda... again, take all the bullets... Then dump the body and waltz in with some new Savior Plan that will look even better in the wake of the messages Chapek just had to deliver?
Personally, I don’t think anything changes with DPEP. This smells like a move borne from the media side.Genie+ won't be going away.
Park Pass reservations won't be going away.
Dynamic pricing on park tickets (and park hoppers) won't be going away.
But hopefully changes are at least coming?
Or am I being too optimistic..
We certainly haven’t seen him do much beyond that. But I think the Board is going to be lookin in his direction. My advice? Keep walking. He’s over his head where he currently is. He’s a solid single park management guy.
Exactly. People hoping a return to 2019 are going to be sorely disappointed.Genie+ won't be going away.

He’s an opportunistic lapdog who’s good at making himself look good.We certainly haven’t seen him do much beyond that. But I think the Board is going to be lookin in his direction.

Oh, come on, now–how could Iger have known that Chapek was an uncreative, penny-pinching, no-talent, stuffed suit with poor instincts, no understanding of media or parks, and the personality of a doorknob?Disney also wouldn’t be in the position of firing their CEO on a Sunday night if it wasn’t for Iger.
Dogcatcher? Churro salesman?Chapek should get revenge by running for office.
Well, my apologies to Mr. Cramer, then.Apparently there were
Honestly. We can't even get the most basic necessities for the parks....parking trams for all 4 parks..Exactly. People hoping a return to 2019 are going to be sorely disappointed.
D+ is ticking time bomb. Chapek was incapable of disarming it.Chapek’s contract was just extended a few months ago, right? Is there that much hand-wringing over the future of streaming?
