I really like the decorations on the castle. I hope they atleast some of it up after the 50th anniversary. Without the decorations the castle just seems kind of plain IMO

To respond to the "what did they do wrong with Figment" question above, it's simple. He's a COMPLETELY different character. Does he look similar? Yes. But his entire personality has changed from sweet, innocent, and curious to rude, annoying, and troublesome. He couldn't be farther from the real Figment.

Now that you mention it, I thought about it and I completely agree with you. Compared to the original, he is a totally different character. Hmpf.

i like some of the new changes disney world has made. Even thoung i never rode Horizions, by what i have heard i think Mission Space is much better. i hope PoC will be better. i really love Soarin! and the ne stunt show in MGM. I think disney should change some of its older attractions.

I actually LIKE the Epcot wand; without it, Spaceship Earth is just...a big, white ball *waits for flames/tomatos thrown in her direction*

I also looove the decorations on Cinderella's Castle.

I rode Mr. Toad's Wild at DLR, and while I enjoyed it, I don't see why the ride has gained cult status...I mean, come on, they aren't even animatronics, but plywood cutouts...I very much prefer The Many Adventured of Winnie the Pooh.
exactly! :sohappy:

No flames or tomatos but I cant stand the wand on spaceship earth. I do have to totaly agree with Mr. Toad's, I think pooh is much better. The only way I would have liked Mr. Toad to stay would be a complete overhaul with all new AAs and sets. Yea the cutouts are pretty bad. I dont believe in the dont touch "classic attractions" theory. I want them to keep updating them as long as they keep the spirit and charm and all that makes a classic attraction what it is, Classic.

I don't think that I made myself clear, sorry, that was my fault. My problem isn't really with Figment, don't get me wrong, I've always loved Figment, but it's mostly what they did with the ride itself, and of course, Dreamfinder. I miss the original version so much, it was the best one in my opinion. That's what I was meaning to say, and not that they did something wrong with Figment himself.
thaty makes sense. Though I do miss the old ride, I do think the new one fits better in EPCOT's theme. The old ride semed more like it belonged in Fantasyland more than a land of the future and technology.

I agree with everything you just said. Due to bad memories as a child, I do not miss Mr. Toad's Wild Ride and loved the Pooh ride. I came out of that ride wishing THAT was there when I was six instead of Mr. Toad.

Okay, I'll give you that. I didn't remember much about the old ride when I went on the new one, but once I found Martin's video, Figment seemed alot more innocent there than in the new ride, but I didn't consider him "rude" or "annoying" Well, maybe if you where Dr. Channing ;) But just the same, I didn't mind the change. I still see him as the cute, innocent dragon he always was. Perhaps slightly less so, but it's still there. I saw him less as annoying though and more of a dragon in desprate need of ridilin XD Granted, that "HELLOOOO" he does on the phone rode up my

Couldn't agree more! I think Walt himself would have updated Mr Toad's. I don't care about the wand, though... It looks kinda cute... but if they take it out... I won't miss it either.
