Changes to the 2012 Annual Pass discounts

Perhaps I missed it (I looked through the full post twice), but it appears that the World of Disney store in DTD has been left off the list of merchants. I am assuming that this is just an oversight and that you still can an AP discount there...right?

I believe the WOD at DTD would fit under the general merchandise discount for WDW owned and operated merchandise locations even though it isn't listed separately under the DTD heading:

"Walt Disney World Resort Owned and Operated Merchandise Locations
Premium Annual Passholders are eligible to receive a 20% discount and all other Annual Passholders are eligible to receive a 10% discount on select merchandise purchases at Walt Disney World Resort owned and operated merchandise locations."

Happy to see Earl of Sandwich finally on there--that's new as far as I know. And 20% at Pollo Campero makes that place fairly close to reasonable.

Very nice additions. Can we assume that this means Citricos, Artist Point, and Flying Fish need a boost in diners?

I think this is a bit on the fault of the internet. Cali Grill, Narcoossees, Jiko, and a couple others seem to get a lot more attention in the signature dining area. Now that most people do more research for their trips, if they are picking only one sig meal then they are going with the places they read the most about. So this move will hopefully help with the distribution of people a bit.

I found this interesting:

Downtown Disney Marketplace
Enjoy the following discounts at Downtown Disney Marketplace*:

Arribas Brothers:
Save 10% on the total purchase price of merchandise. Subject to certain restrictions, exclusions and/or limitations, including, but not limited to: The Arribas Collection, Giuseppe Armani, Glassblowing, Custom/Special Orders (torch and furnace work), Nao Collection by Lladro, Swarovski and shipping charges.
Because they don't give you a discount at the location in MK. I just bought something the past weekend there (a wooden pen) and out of habit gave my pass and he said "we don't do discounts here."

I think so. The last 3 times I have been to Citricos the place was dead. Same with artist point and we dined at 7pm every time, so based on my experiences I would agree that they need a boost in diners.

I think it will take a lot more than a slight discount to passholders. I love those restaurants....but it is just not worth paying three times what the dining experience is worth...

I thought AP Discounts were good for one year. Why do they expire on May 31.2012?

The word on the street is they expire around the time fantasy land is getting ready to open... in case they feel like offering a discount on "I Cannot Belive It's Not Butterbeer" :lookaroun
