Changes to Pop Menu

We noticed the new menu when we were there for Memorial Day. I like the addition of biscuits and gravy for breakfast but otherwise the new menu isn't appetizing to me. And I'm still mourning the loss of the chicken penne Alfredo lol. And they also took out Mom's Night Out dinners which I found interesting.

One Little Spark...
Ok, now I am going grocery shopping.

Sloppy Joes for dinner tonight!

I am glad to see they did this. The AoA food court was way outclassing the Pop one...

I bet they noticed this...I walked over and ate at AoA a lot, and I'm sure I wasn't the only one!

OMG The sloppy joe onion rings look amazing. I was at POP last weekend - the foot court looked much cleaner and nicer than I remembered it as well. I assume the philly cheesesteak is gone?

One Little Spark...
I made this for dinner...both last night and tonight...

After following the recipe to the letter yesterday, today I made a few tweaks to the recipe...

1) Second dredge in Panko Breadcrumbs
2) Extra jalepeno in the sloppy joe (I like things with a little bite, and it's still pretty sweet, trust me <grin>)
3) I used red onions instead of Spanish onions...because I like red onions.

I served it tonight with baked sweet potato fries...recipe is simple...

1) Preheat oven to 400 degrees (F)
2) Peel and cut a sweet potato into steak fry size (about 1/6 cuts)
3) Brush a 1/2 sheet pan or cookie sheet with olive oil
4) Mix around 3 tablespoons of EVOO with 1 tablespoon of Paprika in a medium sized bowl
5) Add the cut sweet potato to the bowl and toss to cover.
6) Position the coated sweet potatoes on the sheet pan / cookie sheet and drizzle / brush remaining oil/paprika on the taters.
7) Bake for 20 minutes, turn, and bake for another 20 minutes
8) Drizzle with kosher (or my favorite, rock) salt...

Here are my results from tonight...

Ew.

Just kidding. Looks great! Maybe you should be a Disney chef. Some of their options elsewhere are lacking. I wasn't pleased at all with the All Stars. Pop and AoA are worlds ahead.
