Since they are extending the hours do you think they are also doing Wishes and spectromagic? I saw somewhere that they are not doing them that weekend. If they are any clue what times. I really hope someone has this info. HELP!:lookaroun

Hmm. Some of the Mondays are extended now, too. I could swear that wasn't true when I checked yesterday! Either that, or senility just sucks. ;)

I am visiting 11/24-11/29 and I only plan a Disney trip every 5 years or so and I have never had them change park times and show times like this. Is this unusual? Would it be smart to avoid the parks that the times have been extended for to avoid heavy crowds??

Wow...they actually extended the park hours for MGM and added another Fantasmic on Tuesday November 26....seems odd for the middle of the week AFTER Thanksgiving weekend.

the hours for MGM have been extended on Monday, October 8. Park close is now 9pm, with an evening EMH.

And the AK has been changed to a 6pm close on Sunday, October 6.

Both of these closings are an hour later than previously scheduled.

and those changes weren't there the last time I checked (a few days ago). LOL.

I guess this is good and bad for me. I will be down from 10/6 until 10/13. We will have more time in the parks, but it sounds like the crowds may be heavier than I expected. It has been almost 4 years since I was there during October. The crowds were rather small then.

YAY!!!!

Just in time for when i arrive to work for the mouse (october 7th!) :D

i can spend all my spare days dancing around until the early hours! whoop whoop

Off topic, but just out of curiosity, does anyone here get Columbus Day off? I know I don't and my daughter has to go to school that day. I'm just wondering.

I was shocked when I first read that President's Day weekend is one of the busiset times. It never was a school holiday for us, and the only people I know who get it off (along with all the other random days) work for the government or a bank.

I have never understood the big cruch on days like this.:veryconfu

Schools taking P-Day (and for some schools, P-Week) is very common in the northeast, and somewhat common in the upper midwest.

And, in February, guess who wants to go to Florida?

Last time I went in Oct it was the week of Columbus Day....BIG MISTAKE To go that week...But next year 08 I'm leaving the end of Sept until the 5th of Oct here's hoping it won't be too bad then

Great. I am going Columbus Day week. It is our anniversary. Who would have thought it would be crowded? I am excited about longer hours though.

Sounds like a good thing to have the extended hours. Was there in end of Oct. and beginning of Nov. last year and the weekends were much more crowded than I have ever remembered them for that time.

Weekdays were still pretty quiet so that is double good for the extended hours.

My husband works for the government, so yes.. he has the day off. My kids are on Fall Break the week of Columbus day, too.
