Challenge - We need help

Okay guys, I need help...We recently returned from our trip sohappy and we left without a sovenier (why is it I can't spell that word?? :brick that my dad would love to have..he bought a mug with Walt and Mickey on Main Street..We saw the pic on t-shirts, bags and of course the coffee mug..here's the problem..we couldn't find a print of it..you would think there would be somewhere to buy one..I am trying to find a pic of the mug or bag so I can show you..let me know if anyone has any ideas

I usually find prints at DHS. There is a store when you exit the backlot tour. It has a lot of prints. I think you can call Disney Mail order and still get stuff. 407-363-6200 or wdw.mail.order@disneyworld.com

I that is indeed the image you are looking for, I saw prints of that at the Art of Disney in EPCOT last week.

I just bought a set of those mugs for the wife and I! I believe that The Art of Disney does have a print of this as well!

And did you notice that they're actually on Main Street at DL instead of WDW? DH bought the t-shirt and wore it one day at DHS. We were in front of the line for Narnia, and the CM pointed this out to us. According to CM, the actual picture is of Walt watching someone working on Main Street. I'm sure you could find the original picture somewhere.

I put a call into my dad to make sure that was the print..I think it is, but he has the mug..I can't believe you guys found prints..We looked EVERYWHERE..we even had a cast member at the Art of Disney in EPCOT say she couldn't find a print either and wanted one too...We checked Downtown, EPCOT, MK...

Yup that's it...I can't believe you found it as a print..if you did, let me know what the store is and I will see if I can get them to send me one

Well yeah of course it's Disneyland. Walt died in 1966 and WDW didn't open until 1971. :lol:

I can't find the original on the web but I've seen the original image before. In it, Walt is standing over a worker who's touching up the pavement or something before Disneyland's opening in 1955.

I bought a very cool pen at The Magic Kingdom. It's a working pen..PLUS it projects that Main street picture with Walt and Mickey on the ceiling, walls etc. My friends are amazed when I show it to them.

Yes, WE know when he died, but others don't! You would think with the digital technology today that if they wanted to do the picture with Cindy's Castle in the background instead, they could do that. We were at WDW, not DL. Ah, well. It's a cool picture anyway. I hope OP finds the print.

Oh sure it's definitely cool. We've got the mug also. And yeah it wouldn't really be that hard to make the change to WDW. After all, they did make the Vision poster feature Cinderella Castle and Walt!
