For what it's worth, your threads pertaining to offsite housing were deleted because you (OP) were trying to rent out your vacation property, and had a link to a COMMERCIAL website. This is against forum rules.

Had you said something like, "Windsor Lakes is a nice vacation resort. PM me for more info, or google it for more info" your posts would not have been deleted. However, posters are not allowed to sell/rent/provide services for personal financial gain UNLESS it has been approved by the webmaster. They are also not supposed to provide unapproved links to other websites, but some slip through the cracks.

If this is "censorship" so be it. As others have said, there are lots of WDW fansites out there.

BTW, I reread the posters post about Windsor Lakes that wasn't a sales pitch, and it appears to be a very nice place. Certainly worth looking into, if you were in the market.

I'm afaraid that there's a much simpler explanation about the lack of activity on this board. Most wdwmagic members are either:

locals (CMs and residents)
single or childless, so aren't looking for a condo or house
already own a vacation home nearby
are only staying for a couple of days
or would prefer to stay onsite

The Mom has just answered your post, but I would like to add just a few points.

Firstly I do not understand why you are claiming you dont know who I am, as we have been in contact previously via PM.

I deleted several of your posts because they were basically advertising your property. You also had a signature and a username that are advertisments for your property. Advertising is not the purpose of this forum.

I am sure you will understand, that the site cannot operate if advertising is allowed to take place without restriction. The place would become one huge SPAM area.

Your signature and posts were vilolating those rules. You were contacted several days ago by myself via PM, and were asked to read the forum posting rules, which indicate that no advertising is allowed without permission. You replied to me on the 21st October indicating you had read that information and accepted it.

It has nothing at all to do with the fact that you are competing against a forum sponsor here. The same rules would apply if you were selling TVs or cars, that we have no forum sponsors for.

I am sorry that you do not agree with this policy. However, they are the rules, and are in place for the benefit of the community, despite the fact that they may not suit members like yourself who are keen to advertise their services/products on discussion forums.
