Celebrating Anniversary Question...

So Hubby and I decided that we would go back to Disney late Sept/Oct for our anniversary. This will be our 2nd trip this year. :sohappy:
Our anniversary is Dec. 24th :xmas: ...and I know multiple times the CM's ask if you will be celebrating anything. I went online to add our celebrations to our reservations but it asked for the offical anniversary date so I didn't continue. So technically are we not supposed to celebrate our anniversary since it is not during our trip?

No - I don't think it matters. You may not be celebrating on your exact anniversary, but it doesn't change the fact that the primary reason you are at WDW is to celebrate your anniversary.

I surprised my husband on our anniversary last month with a trip to WDW in Sept. When I called in May to make the reservation, the CM asked if we were celebrating anything, and I told her that the trip was an anniversary present, but that we wouldn't be at WDW on our actual anniversary. She said that wasn't an issue, and went ahead and noted that we were celebrating an Anniversary in the system.

Hope that helps! :D

It does! Thank you! I just didn't want to seem like a greedy guest who had expectations about our anniversary.

I know - the little angel and demon on my shoulder were arguing back and forth about what I should do until I talked to the CM about it!

I explained the situation to the CM at WDW-DINE too (just to cover my butt) and she said the same thing. It's all good!

A few years ago we were at Disney a week before our anniversary. We decided to see if we could get a nice dinner somewhere (this was before dining and you could just walk up to a resturant and most likely get in). When asked if we were celebrating anything we told them our anniversary was the next week but we'd be home by then. They said it didn't matter and everyone in the resturant signed a card for us.

Hope you have a great anniversary trip!

We went down last year in January for our Ann. We arrived 3 days later then our official date, but still celebrated it. They gave us the pins, the pictures, and were greated everywhere we went.

So no worries!!!! We are going back again this year for our anniversary, 3 days late again :)
