CDCT parade changes

This is Disney, they rarely destroy anything that's less than 10 years old... it's probably disassembled in storage in an off-site warehouse, since they dont know if they will need to use the floats for something else...

Remember DL's Lion King floats being used at Animal Kingdom for the show

A friend of mine unfortunately has seen a few of the floats in a Disneyland boneyard, stripped and ripped apart, likely never to be repaired.

Not exactly the right version of "Welcome", also wrong floats and performers on Main Street haha but it gives you a feel of what COULD have been at the MK

Well there is currently a rumor of DL getting a parade sometime next year with a tentative name of Soundsational, and I heard the theme is definitely a Celebration of Disney music..... Unsure if that means the theme for the new parade? or theme for the parks?

condensing that parade would be nice, maybe stop using the castle float? Maybe remove peter pans float (the carousel float) since it's the least characters?

Aww come on...That castle float can't go!! It's been around for years , it' slike a staple in all the daytime parades....It just won't go away!:ROFLOL:
I love looking at old pics of the parades(like 15-20yrs old) and every time you see that castle float....Every time.

Sorry, pal, but the MK is already going to get an completely-new parade for that park's 40th anniversary next year.

My grandmother has photos of the parade from her 1976 trip and the castle float is there.

hmm... sure it's the same one? I thought that float debuted in the early 80's... around '83.

If it's not, then it's extremely similar. We all laughed when we saw it.

One day and absent-minded CM will leave the warehouse's doors unlocked during the night and that castle float will leave the warehouse and take a tour around MK by itself following the exact same route as the parade. :lol:

Yeah I have a pic during the bicentenial(sp?) parade celebration...Yup that wonderful castle float was there!
