matches the film version all the more (Even though I believe this is concept art)

This is from the film, its only blue due to the sky, but the turrets look more like cinderellas dress silver

Looks like it could be a test. I think I like the idea. Perhaps a mix of silver and gold. Would be a nice change and it does make the blue look dated. IMO.

Might also be a better 'screen' for the projectors.

I've been involved in theater for much of my life, and priming with silver is a method we often use to make the top color look brighter, shinier and/or more metallic.

Likely but no reason it might not inspire them to consider a new look. As I said, the blue seems dated. I am sure others share this opinion.

Perhaps some aspiring Imagineer could photoshop the concept and wdwmagic could hold a vote.
