My first job was a balloon vendor at Magic Kingdom. I did that for 2 years. Then I became a food vendor at MGM Studios, this i did for 1 1/2 years. When i went down to disney my intent was to become a lighting technician, since that is what I studied in college (I majoried in Theatrical Lighting Design and and I minored in Pyrotechnics). Then i became friends with a parade tech and found that i liked that as well so i got trained in that.

Before i came to WDW (this is when i was 16) I worked for a theatre company in Miami. There i was a Light Board Op and Programmer.

Now i Maintenace the lights on the castle, rides and shows during the night shift. During the day im a float driver for Spectromagic (the Mickey float) and Share a Dream Come True Parade ( the Dream is a Wish Your Heart Makes float) and a parade tech for all the floats in both those parades.

I started when I was 19...I tried out for Entertainment and got put into the pool, I then was placed into Frontierland Attractions. The day I went to sign my papers for attractions, they called me for Entertainment :) I've been in Entertainment for 2 years in August :)

I started at Disney in Tomorrowland Merchandise and worked there for a year and then moved onto Entertainment and performed different roles there but mostly as "friends" of the characters.... did that for 9 years. I left Disney in 2004:( .

Getting to work for Disney now is much easier than what it used to be.... they have to relax some of their policies just to be able to get enough cast memebers to staff all the departments.

Started out in Attractions at the Studios giving tours on the Backstage Pass. Went on to other attractions after it closed down like Movie Ride, Muppets, and Haunted Mansion.

72k a year is not bad thats about what a CAD tech makes which is amazing. I might have to bust out some of my mad skills and sign up for that kindof pay.

We moved to Kissimmee in 1989. We went over to Casting and meet a guy in the parking lot and he asks us, (Wife & I) if we are looking for work. Yes sir.
He takes us inside and gets us set up for interviews, than takes us over to the Poly. We meet the GM and the Executive Chef. They interview us and lock us into jobs before we even get interviewed at Casting.

I went to work in the main kitchen, restocking all the supplies used in the cafes and alike. I spent time down at the Luau, restocking the food for the show that night. I got to go over to DC3 and pick up fresh fruit. I picked up enough pineapple for every room at the hotel for the Hawaiian Kings Birthday Party.

One day they sent me over to Living Seas to get some fresh lobster. The EC goes in his office as he has a tank in there full of them he rolls up his sleeve reaches in and pulls out around 24. He pulls out this big one and looks at me and says," he stays here, he’s too big for you". I just laughed.

My shift started at 3am but I never grew tired of being at WDW, I had a blast.

My wife was to work at one of the cafe's, but all the Disney Day Care places had a waiting list for baby's. My youngest was only 3 months old at the time. Now 17. So she could not start. Well things did not work out so we ended up moving back to MN.

We always wished we would have stayed in Florida. We return when we can.

I was an intern on the college program a few years ago in 2005. I work in the ESPN club on the boardwalk. It was the sweetest job Iv ever had. I worked in the kitchen and we could watch all the games that were on in the dinning room. I then moved down to the prep kitchen were we preped everything for the whole hotel. That was a lot of work but it was fun.
