I've been able to request my birthday off the past 4 years (I book CRT lunch). It is such a great place to eat.

Can't speak for other departments, but mine passes around a birthday card for everyone to sign. Some also wear Birthday Buttons, though CMs in costume really aren't supposed to. Otherwise, it's a normal day at work.
I'll actually be working on my birthday for the first time next month. I'm probably going to end up wearing a button, at least while backstage.
Edit: oops, I was wrong--my birthday falls on my weekend, so I'll definitely be out and about as a guest, wearing a button.

My birthday falls on the 2nd of February and I will be working on my b-day... I want to wear a birthday button when I am working on the CP this spring

After Traditions we all got back on the American Coach bus and went back to Vista Way. I changed into casual clothes and shoes that didn't hurt my feet LOL. Then we all headed back to the Magic Kingdom. I got a birthday button and a CM got everyone at Pecos Bill to sing "Happy Birthday" to me. It wag totally awesome. I'm so excited to be going back again in 09. It will be my 3rd birthday in a row at WDW.

Too bad I won't be as lucky. It looks like I won't be getting to spend my 5th straight birthday in WDW.

Well, I was due to graduate in May (so I was going to apply for FA 2009). However, due to school issues, I would only be able to do Fall 09. It stinks. I really wish I could go down in May instead. But I will be happy to just go back down at all.

I tried to get the day off for my birthday very early in advance, but it was denied (most likely because it was a holiday).
I was a little bummed because I have never had to work (or even go to school) on my birthday. Thankfully, it turned out to be a good day, and I got to work a nice shift from 8:00 AM to 3:42 PM. That evening, I took myself out to dinner.

I was able to request mine off. Unless it's around the holidays or block out dates it's a pretty easy system to request a day off when necessary.
