Granted some people would volunteer no matter where they worked it just seems at Disney they take it to another level.

Considering the size of Disney, that's not very impressive. And considering it's all about the CMs, that doesn't actaully say anything about Disney as a Company. Those CMs most likely would have donated no matter who they worked for. (Just putting things in perspective).
Funny story about that. We kind of overwhelmed Red Cross' online donation system. It suddenly was receiving so much traffic originating from the Disney network that it tripped the Red Cross' fraud detection software and shut down the Disney donation page. Thankfully, it's been fixed (as far as I know). Kind of proud of that, to be honest.I don't usually post links to other sites but the negative post about how Disney doesn't really help just irked me.
On top of the local volunteering they promote and the other charitable donations they do, they are also stepping up to help with the Relief efforts for Japan.
Now tell me it's not impressive. :fork:

Not poo poo- "put into perspective."
I've also read how Disney has taken great lengths to get any International CMs out of Japan with no penalty in terms of their contracts, and at no expense to the CMs either. Stepping up all the way around....

Besides a $2.5 million donation Disney has made to the relief efforts in Japan, they are also matching CM contributions up to another $1 million on top of what they already gave.
International CM's at Tokyo Disneyland have also been given the opportunity to take a round-trip flight back to their home while the parks are closed. And yes, Disney is paying for their tickets.
