I'd say... majestic!!I was in MK last night. Now with the destruction of RoA pending, I am now looking a RoA differently.
Such a beautiful, themed space, and in general, bodies of water all have beauty.
Going forward, I will look upon RoA as if its the last time I will see it, because it could be.
"Trackless" implies that at one point the ride vehicles will park in front of a screen for much of the ride. I do not want that in a Cars ride.
To be fair… none of those are in the USA.ah yes like Mystic Manor, Pooh's Hunny Hunt, Beauty and the Beast....
I get what you're saying, but the tech is ... a car driving. You're not supposed to be in awe of the self-driving system; you're supposed to feel like one of the vehicles from Cars is driving you around. This seems a sensible means to achieve that. Whether or not the attraction is successful will have a lot more to do with the setting, potential show scenes, indoor sections, and thrill factor than whether or not people still find self-driving technology impressive in a couple decades. The point is that the ride system seems to be the main attraction of the ride. Beyond that, it’s an outdoor trek through more Disney rockwork. Beyond the tech there’s no there there.
That’s how I feel in radiator springs racers….You're not supposed to be in awe of the self-driving system; you're supposed to feel like one of the vehicles from Cars is driving you around.
Yes, but that doesn't mean every Cars attraction has to use exactly that system. On top of that, I'm not even arguing about how well this will potentially work relative to RSR. It could very well be a poorer realization of the IP. I'm just saying that the perceived novelty of self-driving technology is not something that the attraction is centering; they're just trying to sell you on the illusion that the vehicles are sentient, which is something the technology can likely achieve no matter how commonplace it becomes. That’s how I feel in radiator springs racers….

Since your cherry picking one bad example of the RoA here's a beautiful photo of it.
God I miss that view.Personally I prefer the ones with BTM or Splash in the background.

Yes no doubt. Others have speculated as much too.I'll start the speculation, if they put a Cars ride in does that clear the way to remove the speedway?
The fun in those activities is that you control the vehicle. They’re not much fun if you’re a rider with no input. The hook is to be a side by side ATV ride. The hook isn’t really to be a driverless vehicle.
That seems fun and timeless to me. Similar to them finding a way to have a mass market jet ski ride or motorcycle ride… but safe. It’s meant to recreate a fun leisure activity.
They just boxed in the speedway with Tron and dramatically limited what can be done in that spot.I'll start the speculation, if they put a Cars ride in does that clear the way to remove the speedway?
I think they can find something that is a better use of the space but Stitch is right there and it sits plus Space needs work and I hear Buzz is fading (never did it). Lots of possibilities but will they find the money and a champion to set it on a new courseThey just boxed in the speedway with Tron and dramatically limited what can be done in that spot.

Best ride I ever had was an airboat just south of Orlando, pure fun so I get youI'd beg to differ. I've never actually driven one (motorcycle, jet ski nor ATV), but have been a passenger and had a good time. I don't need to drive a roller coaster to have fun nor do I need to drive the outdoor section of Radiator Springs Racers. This is a ride, after all.
