MK Cars-Themed Attractions at Magic Kingdom

Anyone think it's possible Grizzly Peak gets deconstructed and repurposed to build Cars Land MK?
first of all to move it from California to Florida would be ridiculous, it could not be removed without completely destroying it, and this new addition is all about car parts, not Grizzlies.....unless "Grizzly" is a brand name for an air filter or hubcap...lol

Grizzly Peak and the rapids ride would have fit Frontierland worlds better than an anthropomorphic world of living automobiles with landscapes shaped like auto parts... It could have actually been a celebration of our national parks and the spirit of exploration and adventure....rather than another commercial for a Pixar IP that doesn't fit this park...

I mean, I think that’s exactly the goal. If IP were the exclusive purpose, then it would be Radiator Springs. Instead, they’re using the vastly lesser-known Piston Peak National Park to bring in elements of Yellowstone and Yosemite while still fulfilling the IP mandate. I agree that it would be improved by removing the IP altogether (mostly because they could then exclude modern vehicles), but they’re using a more obscure series that celebrates the national parks setting so that the attraction area does the same by proxy.

not really... any more than Monstropolis celebrates current day life in Greenwich Village...
If it were not anthropomorphic living cars and landscape features shaped like car and engine parts, maybe you could say it really celebrates the National Parks... and then to mix in a location that is not even part of the Cars franchise... well it's like Tiana opening a foods factory in a flooded dirt mound...off model... just off....

Honestly, some sort of Grizzly Peak clone (or at least a Grizzly River Run clone) would in my opinion be a better idea for a Frontierland expansion than Cars. I'm not sure how well it would actually FIT in Frontierland, but still...
I mean, Frontierland is based off of the states west of the Mississippi River and seeing was Splash Mountain was able to work despite it taking place in Georgia and TBA kind of fitting Frontierland's theme a little more than that, yeah I think Grizzly Peak would work just fine like the Cars attraction (minus the talking cars of course, that part I'm a bit iffy on)

Exactly.

People just hate the IP even though this mandate has been ongoing for over a decade at this point.

I think it's perfectly possible to make the area feel natural and akin to the national parks while also still doing the IP thing. Mind you I don't love the IP chosen myself, but it's not impossible to make work. Especially considering the concept art implies that you're not really gonna see the cars themselves unless you're on the ride.

I do think there is potential for the area to look really stunning and do hope there are areas to walk through and see waterfalls, etc - appreciate the setting and theming beyond just when on the ride.

I do think the margin for error is very high though but the potential is there

Are they really that different?

I don’t think you’re going to get much walk-around within the attraction area, unfortunately. Assuming they go with what we see in the concept, there’s not much space for that. Where it feels more possible is actually around the perimeter of the land. They may keep the boardwalk and put small cascades, dams, etc. along it.
