I agree with intangible impact of aesthetics and the ROA on the experience. My question is I’m not sure if that intangible impact outweighs a lot of the benefits this area might bring. I always found myself frustrated, not peaceful, in Frontierland because of the crowd bottlenecks. This area forms a nice loop to hopefully help that. I get people find this area beautiful and charming (I do too) but I think it is a bit presumptuous to assume everyone feels that way “unconsciously” even when they consciously say they would prefer something different.

I think the final verdict will ultimately depend on 1) how good the Cars E Ticket is, and 2) how good the theming is of the “natural parks” area and how much water is incorporated. I know the storytelling of the land is ruined, and that is a loss, but there is a possible net positive if what replaces it is well recieved.
2) Is vital for me.

Hopefully the big changes to the river, the railroad gets some better scenes in the section where it passes on the banks of the river, or at least gets some better views of the card area and pistion peak. WDWRR needs more to look at.
Based on predictions of where Villains land will be you might be looking into villains land. Also do we think there's a possibility of a new WDWRR station?

I can't imagine Disney having RoA and HoP, Astro Orbiter and BTMRR all closed at the same time.

Later in the year sounds more realistic, or maybe they really don't care and just want to get going.

I don’t think RoA closes before Fall 2025. So they’ll at least have HoP and Astro Orbiter back. Thunder will still be closed when RoA closes, however.

Is the closure of the railroad actually being discussed? Or is this all hypotheticals?
It’s still in the Cars Land artwork.

The only place that has been constant and on point throughout, has been the Magic Kingdom. I'm afraid they're going to take away some of the appeal for me as well. I understand why they're doing it: they're taking the underperforming part of their busiest Park and attempting to bring it up to speed with the rest of the place. The positive in this is that maybe it will spread crowds out across the MK more efficiently. The negative is that they're removing my favorite part of Disney World. The fact that my favorite part is the least popular area probably means that American culture has just left me (and a lot of us) behind.
A big part of my feeling about the parks since all these D23 announcements is that maybe the parks just aren't for me anymore. Who knows, maybe Disney does know their audience and nowadays it is one that cares most about seeing recognisable movies and tv shows brought to life and sees this as 'theming' more than the approach to theming upon which the parks were originally built?

I have my doubts about this as it raises the question of why the Magic Kingdom-style parks have remained so popular while leaning so heavily on all this storytelling about which guests apparently don't care. Either way, I am increasingly feeling that as what made these parks such cultural touchstones disappears I am just not the audience for them.

Our trusted insiders have said that RoA was a candidate for removal for years.
I'm sure you have lots of things to do, getting ready for the holiday in the Penguin household, but would you mind terribly citing some of these posts? Because I feel like I would have noticed if people were saying this, and I've been on these forums for as long as Jacob Marley's been dead (that is, 7 years ago, though not this very night).
