Carrying a bobble bottle around...

Hi All! :) We are off to Disney in May and are staying for 17 nights!!!! The longest and most amazing trip we will ever have been on!

Anyway, sorry for my excitment burst there...

Basically, we are trying to keep costs low. So, we were looking into getting a small (385ml) Bobble water filtering bottle each so that we can just fill up from water fountains when we are thirsty (and stand the taste!) instead of paying for bottled water (or feeling awkward about asking for free water at quick service places).

BUT we are worried about having to carry them around 24/7... do any of you know of any bottle holders, lanyards or bottle bum bags (or packs hahaha) that will hold it?

Any advice? :) Only 26 days to go!!! :sohappy:

You can purchase a lanyard to carry the bottle around your neck.

One thing I learned early in my career in the infantry is that water is heavy.

If you have little ones that water bottle around their neck is going to get very heavy after awhile. The lanyard will also become uncomfortable and if you don't have a collar on your shirt might start rubbing the skin off of your neck. My son learned this the hard way with one of those fan/spray bottle things.

We bought two bobbles for our trip in 10 days for the same reasons as you-so excited to try them! I'm curious about a lanyard or strap type thing too but am wondering if it's too much stuff on such a tin bottle hmm...

Try This

I'll be the guy carrying everything in my back pack, but if I were pack-less, I'd go with a belt holder. The thought of a water bottle on a lanyard swinging freely in front of me all day annoys me.

And at $5 it probably cheaper than the Disney Lanyards.

Cheers,
Indy

EDIT: There's also one with a belt here

Someone made me a bottle holder in a swap craftster so I use that, but you can find ones on etsy. Like this one I found is in a Mickey print! :D There are a ton more out there if you do a search too.

I got a cheap little bag with a water bottle pocket on the outside. I'll try to get a pic later. It's very generic, I've seen them at trade shows and such (mine's from a flea market), and it seems to be just the right size for park touring, but we'll find out for sure in 16 days. The curved bottles are nice because they stay put in elastic/mesh pockets a little better than straight ones.

I might be missing something but why would you feel awkward about asking for water at a quick service location?

Personally If I'm carrying anything around the parks with me I use one of those small drawstring backpacks. They can just be thrown in the suitcase without adding any bulk and can easily squish into the bag compartments on rides. It also keeps drinks out of direct sunlight, keeping them cooler for longer.
