Caribbean Beach Resort pool to open very soon

Caribbean Beach was our home for dozens of trips! Haven't stayed here since 2002 but will be back on a senior class trip this March.
When the pool opens, we need some trip reports.
Was the pool itself made larger?
How is the slide, is it a longer slide?
Is there still a waterfall feature?
Are there cannons still shooting water mists/ fog?
And I wonder why they took the bridge over the pool away. Aesthetic reasons or safety??? Maybe Guests were jumping in?
I cannot wait to try the pool out in March b/c my sister and I literally grew up at this classic Disney Resort!

They did a nice job. Looks a lot more like the outside facade of Pirates of the Caribbean in the Magic Kingdom.

Great looking pool, also nice that they have updated the rooms and added the PotC theme to the S. Trinidad buildings, it now makes them a desirable location now.
We were stayed in CBR last year and thought that they were looking a bit rough around the edges, typical Disney to not let that go to long and to do something good about it. Gotta love Disney!

Looks great! I love how the surface area around the pool gives you the effect of walking on sand like you're at the beach!
