Cards or Bands?

Last time we visited WDW in 2012, our "tickets" to get into the parks were those credit card looking things. We bought them at Shades of Green to save money. This time, we want to purchase at SoG again, but I was wondering if the cards have been completely replaced by the bands?

You will still receive cards.

MagicBands are sent for all WDW resort room reservations. If you are staying at a Disney resort, you will receive the bands and you can link your ticket cards and then use the bands for your admission and fastpass.

If you are staying at SoG (or off property) you can purchase MagicBands to use if you wish, but the cards will work fine by themselves.

We just got back last Sunday and saw lots of people using cards instead of magic bands. You just hold the card to the scanner instead of your magic band for fastpass etc.
