Carded for Energy Drinks

I just left a voicemail to a colleague of mine who works for Starwood here in Orlando, and he definitely finds this "interesting." He knows there's no law against it. He is going to investigate it and get back to me with an answer. However, he did tell me that a bartender in the past did deny Red Bull to a minor after a person that was 21 in the party ordered straight Vodka.

Answer is...

You should have been served the Red Bull. The server was out of his/her place denying you the drink.

Yeah, in a situation like that it's more understandable because there are bottles of alcohol around, instead of just denying because they're under 18 in general.

Time for me to relay another thread for wdwishes2005 as he's at WDW this week.

Apparently he was trying to get a Red Bull at Swan but they asked to see ID, he told the lady he just wanted a Red Bull, and asked if she knew it was non-alcoholic. She said yeah, but they told her she needed to start carding people when they wanted to buy energy drinks. Anybody's thoughts on this? And anyone know where else in WDW he can get one without being carded?

wow. They weren't even carding for alcohol at universal's halloween horror nights...that's crazy.

Every time a Universal Orlando Employee gets arrested for serving an underage drinker (not just under 21... but under 18), an angel gets its wings.

yeah halloween horror nights was pretty scary...but only because of the long lines and drunk hoods with lit cigarettes walking around acting like complete animals.:hurl: it looked like a south florida gang member convention.:zipit: it REALLY REALLY REALLY made me appreciate Disney and their clientel even more

There must be a glutton of wingless angles after my HHN experience. Does Universal have an official High School student with fake ID night?
