What is your favourite place to park your car at Disney and why? Are the lines crisper, straighter and more defined, is there a spot that provides a modicum of shade.

I prefer to have my car parked near the back a bit because I get to have one last ride in the tram before I leave, and it takes me less time to drive out of the park.

Favorite place to park... At my Resort parking lot. Throw the keys in the room safe and let Disney handle the driving from then on. I'm on vacation and want to forget how to drive while I'm there. Although the buses sometimes do frustrate me when they dont run as frequently as I'd like, I want to sit after a looong day in the park, listen to the music & relax. Sometimes I get a great bus driver that entertains as he drives which is fantastic.

Whenever we drove down we never parked at the parks. It was so much simpler to leave it at the resort. For some reason I really like the Disney bus vs. a car. I guess it's just Disney magic.
I always get irritated by all the people with the fake handicap tags just so they can park up close. Its not fair to those who truly need the assistance. Shameful really.

When I was younger, much younger, like in 1988 and 1989, I would park at the Disney Village and take the bus to whatever park I wanted to go to. I had an annual pass, so the parking fee was not an issue. My friend and I just liked the leisurely ride and enjoying the scenery. Sometimes we would even park at the various resorts and ride the bus. Every now and then, when it was slow, we would park at the Contemporary and walk to the MK. You pretty much can't do any of this now, so I just go to the parking lot and park wherever they tell me to.

I tend to park my car in my driveway, take a cab to the airport, use the DME to get to my resort and use the Disney transportation system during my stay reversing the process on my return home.

There is no shade anywhere on Disney property. It has been banned. Even if there were shade, you'd have to stand up in it.
