My console does not have as many controls as yours has. Once again, mine came pre-installed on my computer, so I'm guessing that it is a very VERY basic version... :) I'm gonna upgrade though anyway, later tonight, after I finish up my homework! :)

OK, I'm ready to order the upgrade. I just want to double-check one more time...

I should be getting:

"Upgrade For PowerDVD XP 4.0 Retail Users

Upgrade to PowerDVD 5 Deluxe

This upgrade is for users of PowerDVD XP 4.0 with multi-channel audio output."

It says "Retail Users"... I did not buy it retail, it came pre-installed on my computer... but regardless, this is the upgrade version I should get, right? :D

One other option for upgrading is to buy a new drive that includes the newer software. I bought a new DVD drive for like $10 after rebates and it came with PowerDVD XP. Of course the boxes for these products rarely tell you what software/version is included, so sometimes it is a pleasant surprise, other times not.

Yes, I believe so! :) It's sorta not letting me use the clipboard and cut and paste, but it is making bitmap images of the things... :) I'll figure it out sooner or later... :)
