We are thinking of trying Captain's Grille on our trip in September. We know nothing about this restaurant and are looking for some opinions/reviews from my fellow WDWer's. Thanks.

P.S. I've already made the reservation but it's still 50/50 if we go.

We ate there once; the food and the service were excellent. I would compared the food quality and service to be about the same as the Kona Cafe or Grand Floridian Cafe, of course menu choices/type of food varies some what. I hope this helps.

I have not for dinner or lunch, but we eat there for breakfast all the time. It's the standard buffet, like Trail's End. I like the atmosphere and of course you can't beat Disney service. No reservations needed for breakfasts. It's almost empty in the early morning. Yaht/Beach Club is probably my favorite resort too.

Great, thank you. That's all I needed to hear. We'll be having dinner there on September 28 on our split day with AK and Epcot EMH.

Ditto Zurg's opinion. We went for dinner one night on our last trip and found it to be very good. We're going to go again this Dec.

The breakfast was very good and the food is way better than Trails End, never again for us. Very quiet, very relaxing to start the day. Few more things on their buffet than at the character breakfast like oatmeal and all the add ons for it..

We are actually booked here for our Sept trip too for the 1st time. I have heard good things about this place and am anxious to try the place out.

I ate dinner there in 2008 and 2009.
The service and the food were good. I ate there because it was conveniently located near the Beach Club where I was staying. I'm not sure I would make a special trip out there.

Captains Grille is one of my favorites, love their crab cakes in particular and they are offered as both an appetizer and main. :).

We had breakfast there 4 weeks ago. My sister had the chocolate chip pancakes and I had the brioche french toast with cinammon butter and both were very good. It was VERY dead for breakfast, only a couple other groups were there.
