Captain's Grille - Yacht Club

Just wondering if anybody has eaten at the Captain's Grille at the Yacht Club and how was it? Thinking of making an ADR there for Dec and wanted some input on it.

I'm also interested. Just made an ADR there for October. We wanted to go back over and see the Yacht & Beach Club along with the Boardwalk and we have already eaten at Cape May. Wanted to try something different.
I have heard it lacks the Disney atmosphere, but I love both of those resorts so much, I want to give it a chance.

We just ate there at the end of April and it was pretty good. Not a huge menu but I had the crab cakes and they were pretty good, although the Coral Reef's crab cakes were better! The wait staff was awesome and it wasn't busy at all. The dessert was really good, but I am a fan of sugar! LOL I would recommend it if you are looking for a nice, quiet place and basic fare.

Capitans Grille is a good choice, but as an above poster had said, it lacks the Disney feel. But the food was great, service great...I would recommend a visit, but probably wouldnt go back soon..

We ate there once, food and service were good.
The clam chowder (chowdaa) was okay but not up to Legal Seafood standards, I guess I’m spoiled living in New England.
The steak was good, and cooked the way I like.
Apple tart for dessert was good.

The Captain's Grille has some good points. It is quiet and clean. The food is decent. I have trouble saying good because it used to be so much better. In 2008, my husband and I ate there for the first time and loved it so much we returned on that same trip. In 2009, the menu had changed and was not as good. If we had never eaten there and didn't know how good it had been in the past, we would have been more satisfied.

They make a good steak. My husband likes the apple pork chop. The strawberry confection cake is good.
