Wait - you mean a Flerken? Don't forget Rocket survived the snap. I'll definitely pay money to see THAT issue come to a head . . .

New trailer dropping at halftime for the Monday Night NFL game (game starts at 8:15, so my guess is between 9:15-9:30).
Am I the only one just not feeling right about this poster? It just looks like they used to much of powers in one poster. It seems wayyyyy too much for a poster. I know Marvel has a lot of posters the have a bunch of stuff in it, but this poster just doesn't seem right.

I can't say I know Brie Larson as an actress so I can't say if the deadpan delivery is her style or how she's being directed. Im leaning to how she's being directed based on the trailer saying she was rebuilt and has no real memory. So maybe as the movie progresses and she regains her memories, she will become less robotic. Other than that, it still looks really good.

If you’ve seen 21 Jump Street she was the girl Jonah Hill liked.

I completely forgot she was in that movie.
Yeah. She acted so different from what I’ve seen that I forgot too. How she acts in Captain Marvel is a lot like how she acted in that King Kong movie. It was fine but for a superhero it seems she should be acting more like how she did in Jump Street. You know, fun to be around. Maybe she’s brainwashed or whatever which is what I’m hoping for.

Having brain damage and around Kree all of the time would probably have that effect on a person.

She was in Don Jon too, and while that role was pretty small, she was fine. I know that Room is the movie she is the best known for, but I really don’t think I could get through that one.

In other news, Funko Pop spoiled who Jude Law’s character is (and has since changed the toy to Star Commander).

I think it’s been known for a long time that he’s
Mar-vell, the original Captain Marvel before Carol Danvers takes up the role.

So based on the toys for the movie, Chewie has been renamed ‘Goose’ (probably a Top Gun reference), and definitely appears to be a Flerken, based on the Nick Fury toy.

I just have so many Hannibal Lecter jokes based off of that toy.

Getting a bit worried after recent comments from Brie Larson about how she could “definitely lift Thor’s hammer” and how “Thanos looks shrimpy.” I really don’t want another little miss perfect like Rey. I want a real superhero with struggles and difficult obstacles, not a girl version of Superman in Justice League where everything is easy. We have plenty of great examples of female heros in the MCU to draw from with Gamora (RIP ) being my personal favorite. Please don’t ruin this Marvel. If Captain Marvel is the new face of the MCU give her the same kind of developement and care that Iron Man and Captain America got. If she’s being made super powerful just because she’s your big new girl hero it really doesn’t help anything. It’s just special treatment and a move backwards imo. Give her the same treatment the men got.

Yes, the draw of all the MCU heros has always been the struggle, and that is what makes them so relatable. To not continue that same path would be a big mistake for Marvel. I have faith in Feige but not as much in Disney so this could go either way.
