Captain Jack Meet and Greets?

I was talking to a friend of mine (who's still down on her college program), and she's a "friend" of some characters, too. She said that someone told her they're doing auditions for Jack Sparrow soon.

Has anyone else heard about this? Have they done test runs in Disneyland?

And before anyone starts squealing and saying "OMG THAT WOULD BE SOOOOOO COOL! HE'S SO HOT!" keep in mind. This is a rumor. Whether it is true or not, we'll find out eventually. I'm just curious if anyone else has heard about it, and if there are any pictures running around the internet, if it's true.

As cool as a meet and greet with Jack would be, I feel his character is just a little too adult for the Disney theme parks! I think it would be wise for Disney to abandon this concept.

If this turns out to be true, I'm SO auditioning! I was going to be Jack Sparrow for Halloween, if only I could afford the amount of money I want to put out for an amazing costume... All my friends think I do his little 'marrooned on an island, I'm drunk at the moment' moves too well... lol!

Yeah, at Universal the do the same thing with Jurassic Park, with the old doctor guy w/ white hair, it kinda sets the mood. It would be a good addition to MK.

I'm not sure if anyone here is familar with Terri Clark video, "Girls Lie Too" (which was acctually shot very close to me in Brentwood, TN), but the video has a DEAD-ON ringer for Captain Jack. I read up on it, and he was played by the music video director who looks absolutly nothing like Johnny Depp. Due to all the facial hair and such, it's really easy to pass as Jack when your all suited up.

So Disney just needs to find some young guy willing to endure the Florida heat in that costume, and liquor him up, and BOOM - Perfect Jack.

How cool would it be to see him hanging out by POTC?

And consider this- makeup, facial hair, wig...I imagine it might not be TOO difficult to find someone...

Just use one of the College Program kids as Jack- it's not like it'll be too difficult for some of them to act drunk!

Oh man, only if they had an Elizabeth character, too. I would die. It would probably be the first time crying while meeting a character since I was a baby.

Of course, it wouldn't be Keira Knightley (I'm obsessed with her), but it would be close as they could get to her. And still, it's the fact that it's Elizabeth Swann. And almost Keira Knightley, ahhh.. :slurp:
