Down in South Florida, I volunteer over at the Florida Renaissance Faire each year and for the pirate themed weekend, the stunt double for Johnny Depp comes down for two days:

I dropped about $200 into mine so far with about another $200 to go.
you will definately have to post pictures of this.......... sounds like it is going to be very detailed.

Pumkin Pheonix: nice pic..... but i think i would have had to jump this guy when no one was looking and steal his costume....... nobody saw me, and who is that strange man running around in his undies

Now there is no need to be rude. He is a fine actor, so don't go beating him up. :)

Interesting part of Disney War talked about Mr. Depp's portrayal of Capt Jack Sparrow and how he portrayed him in a manor in which he thought Disney would despise. Guess it backfired....

We also had our version of Capt Jack at our local Ren Fest....

For some reaason I want to see this happen. I may not want them inside the ride itself, but for meet & greets it would be a great idea.

The costume was about half finished last year. It will be about 80% done this year when I am at MNSSHP on the 30th. The last piece I will need to make it complete are the correct boots which start at about $200. I tried desperately last night to find the pictures I had taken from last year but had no success. However I believe I e-mailed a set to either wannabebelle or Pam from KK a few months ago so girls if you still have them fell free to post them.

P.S. I have not forgot about your prints I have just been insanely busy at work as of late.

I don't think it would be hard at all to find someone to play Jack, you would just have to make sure they get the mannerisms correct XD;

I think everyone has a Jack Sparrow at their Rennisance Fair, up in the one near Hershey had two Jacks. One looked infantly better though, much younger and had the hair right. He was rather charming as well XD;

Well, not that bad, I was just saying they could 'act' like it. Or not. See I trained, yes TRAINED a friends sibling to act like Jack when he dressed up last year for halloween, its really not all that hard...suprisingly.

I do see the worry that some people may have that Jack is way too adult for some of the little kids. He's not that out of control, in my opinion. I've seen worse movie characters.

Oh man, only if they had an Elizabeth character, too. I would die. It would probably be the first time crying while meeting a character since I was a baby.

Of course, it wouldn't be Keira Knightley (I'm obsessed with her), but it would be close as they could get to her. And still, it's the fact that it's Elizabeth Swann. And almost Keira Knightley, ahhh.. :slurp:

I had to join! LOL...we'd go nuts if they were both there...ahh....
You should put a new pic of us b/c I don't like that one ;-)

there are really two versions of jack, one sober smart-alike version, one drunk doesn't know any better version.

Like the castmembers don't get that enough already! About twenty people ask "Is there a bar or do I have to sit down and eat" at Liberty Tree Tavern :eek:
