Has anyone eaten at the Capitan's grille at Yacht club?
I tried making resies at Le Cellier on my Bday(Jan 26th) but no availability. The CM that I spoke to suggested Capitan's Grille as a great alternative. So I took her up on it...

Anyone have any info???

We ate there for dinner this past November. Overall the meal was good, not excellent, but good. Keep trying to get into Le Cellier, even the day of sometimes you can get an opening. It is EXCELLENT!

Have eaten here many times when it was the Yacht Club Galley and on two separate trips since it changed to the Captains Grille when they revamped their menu. Last time I ate here was July 08. Buffet breakfast is great, lunch wasn't too bad either, great "fish and chips". Dinner was good but no comparison to Le Cellier which is one of the best restaurants in Epcot. The food and service in Le Cellier are in a different class to the Captain's Grille. But saying that it is worth trying, it is casual and never very crowded. The Spinach cheese dip with flatbread for starters was really good and big enought to share. As you enter the restaurant there is a table with all the desserts on view and the server will tell you what's what. The main courses were good but nothing like the steaks in Le Cellier. The service wasn't that great, we thought at one stage our server had gone home! The service was a bit slow but we found her amusing when she wanted to take our order without even showing us the menu. Having said all that we always eat here as we stay in the Beach Club Villas and it is very convenient. A meal in the Captain's Grille would be lighter on your pocket but Le Cellier would be worth the extra dollars. Le Cellier is always hard to get a reservation but keep trying you might get a cancellation. Otherwise the Captain's Grille is worth try but don't expect too much!!!

I'd like to tell you it is terrible since this is a hidden gem, but I can't. The food is wonderful! My husband likes the pork chops cooked with apple cider and their steak might be better than Le Cellier's. Get the cake with Grand Marnier strawberries.

Thats what the resie lady said when she suggested it. Its my birthday dinner(jan 26) so I would like it to be enjoyable as well. Sounds like I might just like it...

We've been there for breakfast a couple of times and it was OK. Last May, we went there for lunch one day. :hurl: The food was aweful and the service was even worse. I can't help but wonder if the person you spoke with meant Yachtsman and not Captain's Grille. Yachtsman is much more on par with Le Cellier. Their steaks are amazing and the service is usually great! However, try to go before 8pm. The later in the evening the more hectic it seems to get. Once we didn't get seated until 9pm for an 8pm ADR.
