For those that have enjoyed this delicious dessert at Cape May Cafe, I have bad news. They are no longer offered at the buffet. However, we were lucky enough to have our waitress bring us a few from the back so you may want to ask next time you go. They will soon be available for sale only at the Marketplace.

Did they give you a reason why they would no longer be offered at the buffet? We will be having dinner there next month and really enjoy their desserts.

To expand the dessert to more guests by selling them at the Marketplace (translation, to try and earn more profit). There are other changes to the desserts as well. I can't give you a full run down, but there are several new offerings such as boston creme pie cake, strawberry shortcake, carmel flan (different than what was served), and flourless chocolate cake with raspberry topping.

I have been to Cape May several times this year and the menu has changed a bit each time. However, since the refurb, there are more changes. In addition to the desserts mentioned above, the ribs and chicken are gone, but the crab (and other seafood) remains. New items include gnocchi with roast and peas, curry pork roast, and all new salad/soup offerings (with some carryovers like the clam chowder).

These are not all of the changes so you may notice more on your visit.

I will be there September 29 for dinner and would love a full review before then. It's my boys dining choice and I would hate for all their favorites to be missing.

Yes we will be there Sept. 15th i would love to know what is there now! I was looking forward to the oreo bon bons which i have never had before and thew ribs!

That is actually good news for me. I don't eat seafood/beef or pork, so the buffet has never appealed to me. I have always wanted to try the dessert though. Since I frequently stay at the BC, I am excited to be able to buy them from the marketplace.

Bummer. I was looking forward to surprising our kids with these on our first meal there in December. Also, the chicken and ribs would have been good for them since they don't eat seafood. I hope there's still enough for them to eat there. I really want to try it, plus it gives us a reason to be at the Beach Club during the holidays to see the gingerbread carousel.
