...I looked and looked but couldn't locate it.

I'm back from the 15th anniversary adventure trip and only have a few minutes as I still haven't unpacked anything... Lol!

On the bus from our resort to one of the parks one day I heard a lady nearby ask another lady who was sitting with her hubby and children where they got the "1st Trip" buttons and was there a purpose in wearing them. The "1st Trip" Mom excitedly said that they were given their buttons upon check-in and she highly recommended other 1st Trippers get them from Guest Relations right away because in the YOAMD promotion it was the people wearing the "1st Trip" buttons who were mostly picked to win the big prizes like the cruises or castle stays or trips around the world. I couldn't stand it. I politely excused my intrusion upon the conversation and asked "1st Trip" Mom where she got this information. "My friend comes all the time and she told me", was the response. I explained that the award process particularly for the most valuable prizes was completely random and gave her the details of how the Dream Squad locates the winners they are directed to making sure to point out that they literally had no say in who was going to be a winner. "1st Trip" Mom didn't seem like she wanted to believe me. I ended the conversation with information on where the promotion details are all printed online and in no way are anywhere close to what her friend told her. I felt sorta bad because the lady looked really disappointed that the buttons didn't give her family any advantage in winning.

We found humor in the whole thing, tho. For the duration of our trip whenever we saw info about the YOAMD promotion we'd joke that "you could be a winner too....iiiifffff....only IF....you had the right buttons on your shirt!" LOL!

My sister and I were walking from our room at POP to the dining hall when we heard a mother tell her child "isn't this hotel fun, you get to see all the centuries" :lookaroun I'm hoping she meant to say decades...if not oooohh boy! Needless to say my sister and i had a good laugh over breakfast.:ROFLOL:

We used to have a ticket special, it was a 4 day park-hopper for $99, valid only for like 3 months during the off season. It was called the "Play 4 Days Pass." Apparently, remembering that name was near impossible, as people came up with the most ridiculous and absurd names for it when they'd try to buy it at City Hall. Seriously, it is just impossible to keep a straight face when some middle-aged Asian lady wonders up to you and says "I want foreplay."

I can only imagine the fun this was! I would have loved to have dealt with that every day! LOL :ROFLOL:

I love being on the buses and listening to people strategize about their paths to take the monorail from MK to AK or DHS. The best is stepping off the buses and listening to the "leader" of the crowd demanding the way to go to catch that monorail!

Yesterday we overheard the "leader" explaining how you get to the park and get a fastpass for one ride and then go to the next ride and ride and then take your fastpass back and ride the first ride.

I once had a trashy redneck see a black family bypassing the line as they had FastPasses. Irate, he asked if this was affirmative action at work. People are ridiculous sometimes.
