Can't decide which resort

Almost ready to book our next trip to the world. Going this year in Dec so that we can check out all of the parks decked out for the holidays. My biggest problem right now is deciding which resort to stay at. We've only stayed at AKL (and CSR) before so I would appreciate feedback on the other two from anyone who has stayed there.

AKL - we know exactly what we'll get here, an awesome and relaxing stay. Our favorite restaurant is located here (Jiko). Nothing like waking up in the morning and sitting out on the balcony and watching the giraffes, zebras, etc walk by you. Only negative.......aside from going to/from DAK, it's a long bus ride to/from any of the other parks.

Poly - specifically if we stayed here I'd be interested to get a MK view room. Is that worth the added cost on top of what would be one of the most expensive room rates on property? In all likelihood we'd only be in the room to see the MK fireworks the first night that we arrived. I believe that they had started renovating rooms at Poly last year to try and get them more modernized. Anyone know how progress on this is going? Is being on the monorail loop really worth having to pay the highest room rates?

Yacht Club - the big benefit that we see here is being able to walk to and from Epcot. We tend to finish a lot of our evenings eating at Epcot and being able to walk "home" afterwards, instead of standing/sitting in line for a bus, would be nice.

Which would you pick??

Polynesian! Great resort, great pool, fantastic restaurants.

Also, you will get spoiled being on the monorail.

When I can afoord it, I stay at the Poly.

I like AKL best for Christmas (and not just because I like it best overall!)

Poly is fine, but not all that for Christmas. Yacht Club falls into the "Fine" category, too.

I like the pretty views at the Poly. "Worth it" is subjective and up to you alone. I have paid for many a view and the Poly had the prettiest, if that helps. :)

The best hotels for Christmas are the WL and the GF...of the two, I'd go WL, as it has more of a warm, comfy, cozy Christmas feeling.

Really, though, you should just go to whatever hotel seems to be calling your name, because that's where you'll be happiest!!

Yacht Club. We have stayed there once and on the other side, the Beach Club once. We love it. It is slowly becoming our favorite resort. We love walking to Epcot, taking boat to DHS, the Boardwalk across the street, love the theme and well the pool, the best!
