Of course. I'm referring to the dept management as a whole, knowing the front line cast members have no say. You guys do great work out there. I've been there, I know both sides of the coin.
They get turned on and off depending on ride conditions. If the ride is down with people stuck in that scene or if they have to evac, the cannons get turned off so as not to soak the guests mercilessly. They were out nearly a month ago, I wouldn't call that temporary.
To me, that sounds like a more realistic naval battle. From viewing the Pirates movies, I think we should leave the ride drenched to the bone if we are being realistic. They get turned on and off depending on ride conditions. I personally love that the water cannons have been OFF. I always hate getting off that ride soaked because I am on the edge of the boat or even a little wet. If there are no signs saying that you may get wet on POTC, then you shouldn't be getting wet at all.
Indeed. Especially if the obnoxious Brazilian teenager in front of you decides to start splashing the water. Perhaps they need a verse of "Yo Ho" in Portuguese to end their only-when-in-America ADHD?But... there are signs warning that you may get wet...
Cannon splashes aside, sometimes the water at the bottom of the drop gets a little higher than normal and gives quite a splashdown. You can get pretty wet on Pirates.
Never hurts to send a note to wdw.guest.communications.@disneyworld.com. If enough of them pile up within a certain amount of time, some nasty memos get sent to the head of the offending dept asking what's up.
I love this.Someone had this contact info (or something similar) printed on otherwise blank business cards using a super-cheap business card printing service online, and then she would hand them out to guests around her whenever there was an issue with an attraction - which is unfortunately an all to regular occurrence - encouraging them to use their time in the next queue to put their smartphone to good use and voice their concerns.
The power of the people is greater than the people in power.
The entire maint. dept is over learning how to keep the Splash AA's functioning?![]()
June through August yes definately. Not this time of year. The storms the other day were an exception and a fluke as it is the dry season. In fact the weather has been quite cool and windy causing most of the region to be under a fire weather warning (brush fires.)But... It's Florida. If you're standing outside at say, 4pm - chances are you're going to get wet anyway.
