Candlelight Processional Dinner Packages

I am considering doing a dinner package this year for the CP, so that I don't have to wait in line like last time. I'd be looking at dates somewhere around 12-6 to 12-10.

If I get the package, how early do you recommend getting in line for the CP? Does the dinner package save time in your experience?

If I get the package for a non-buffet or family style, is there a restricted menu? Do they make a CP specific menu that you have to order off of?

Thanks!

We've done a dinner package from Biergarten, and I would highly recommend that. There are no restrctions to the menu, and knowing we wouldn' have to wait in that line was well worth it to us.

Ditto, except we did the lunch at Biergarten instead of dinner. It worked out very smoothly.

Did you have to wait in a line at at all? Do you just grab a seat in the theater 10 or 15 min before the show?

I did the lunch for the Biergarten twice and the dinner once. With the lunch I got the the seats for the first show of the night of Candlelight and I prefer this. With the dinner it was the last show. With the first show, I showed up both times about 30 min before the show and walked right in and got a good seat. When I went to the last show, I waited in line for about 40 min and then had to wait at my seat for about 20 min. I also liked that the sun was setting during the first show adding to the candlelight mood.

I like hearing this. I booked my family for a lunch package at Le Cellier. Knowing that we will have a shorter wait is definately god to hear. Out of curiosity, where are the reserved seats for the packages located? Are they better seats than the standby lines or is it a mix?

Good to know. We did the lunch package @ Le Cellier.

We waited 40-45 minutes in line, then another 15-20 minutes after we sat down for the show to start. We did get nice seats, though. We could hear the people who came later complaining that they were "supposed to have priority seats" and "we aren't waiting, we bought seats," but neither argument helped. They were seated in the order they arrived, just like everyone else. To sum up, buying a package does not mean you don't have to wait in line. It only guarantees that you'll have a place to sit, instead of standing up for the show.
