Candlelight package question

I was looking at info on last years (09') Candlelight dinner package and I see that they required 2 DDP table service credits. Is this true?

Is the Tables in Wonderland discount available on the Candlelight packages?

That's correct. Last year, Candlelight Dining Packages required 2 Table Service Entitlements. Details for this year have not yet been released though.

Also, there is no Tables in Wonderland discount when getting the Candlelight reserved seating with your meal. I've tried many times! :(

Thanks for the info.

I am just shocked at how much this now costs. Going back 6 - 7 years ago it was a good deal. Depending on where you ate the cost of the package versus your cost of the meal were about the same meal.

In 06' we paid $79.97 for 2 adults and 1 child for the dinner package at Biergarten. Now for 09' the price would be $112.97. That is a tremendous price hike for just 3 years.

I am wondering if I will wait in line this year.

Yea, it is a significant increase, but I can't stand waiting in that line...especially not knowing if you will have to wait for one or two shows. If you are travelling early in the season, you can enjoy the experience just standing at the top of the theatre or slip in at the end of the line if it does all get accomodated. Little wait and you still get to enjoy the experience.

You are correct that price for this has become rather insane. It use to be a no brainer. If you were going to eat in Epcot anyway you might as well get the candle light package to guarantee a seat. Now CP has become so popular getting the dining package is all but a necessity and Disney is charging what the market will bear for it. IMHO it is simply not worth it anymore. If Morgan Freeman or Patrick Stewart ever decide to narrate I'll consider it but there is no way I am shelling out that kind of cash to see Steven Chapman.

You nailed it, that is pretty much how I am feeling about it. I am really debating about not atttending this year. My daughter will be soooo upset.

We did the candlelight processional dinner package while on the DDP in 2008 when it was only 1 TS credit... While I enjoyed and loved having the reserved seating, I just can not see using 2 credits for this. We are just going to hope for the best that we can get in w/o the tickets and w/o having to wait two hours in line before the show starts.

Just hung up with dining. They tell me that just this afternoon they were told the Candlelight dining packages will be available for booking Aug 26th. Seems rather late this year. I think I will be checking before that anyway.

I spoke with them mid morning today and was told that they are expecting info any day.

Wow, the 26th is late! I really don't care if it is not released till November as long as I get my ressie. The longer it takes the longer the money stays in my pocket!!
