Cancellations for ADR's??

We were lucky enough to get an ADR at O'Hana during our trip in Sept. However the ONLY time we could get is a 9:30pm, very late for us to have dinner.
Should I keep trying to find another time? I've been checking daily with no luck. As it gets closer to the trip, are the chances better that someone will cancel and a ressie will be become available?
We will keep the 9:30 if we have to, because it's a must-do on our trip. Sadly we didnt book until June so almost everything was taken already.

Definitely keep trying. Now that they have the CC guarantee on the more popular reservations, people are more likely to cancel instead of just burn them. Something could open up at any point.

Take into account that room-only reservations can be cancelled as late as five days before check-in without penalty. So if people do the right thing and also cancel their ADRs when they cancel their trip you could see openings at any time.

def keep trying. We got 7:30 AM way too early at 180 days out..but it was all there was. Well on Monday I scored 9:30..much better time for what we have planned for that day!!

Keep trying, but I frankly enjoy a late dinner at 'Ohana. There are far fewer kids running around participating in coconut races, and that annoying woman who plays the ukulele and can't sing leaves by 10:00.

Definitely keep trying everyday, even a few times a day. I did and finally got one for Ohana's for our Sept. trip at 5:05pm. Before all they had was 1 very late one. I have also changed the time on one of my other ADR's to a better time. Good Luck!

If you want to gamble a bit, just show up early. We've shown up 45 minutes before hand at some restaurants, including Le Cellier, and had a 10 minute wait. Other times, they told us immediately that they couldn't do it. This was before they started charging for the no shows, so it might not be as true these days, but it really depends on how busy they really are, as opposed to an average. Unless its labor day weekend, September can have unexpected empty days.

We booked our trip 2 weeks ago and I have tried and tried multiple times daily for O'Hana and I actually got a 6:15 on the night we wanted for 7 people for our Sept trip. I also got Le Cellier for 6 people , all within a month of traveling...It is not at all impossible! Use the internet rather than the phone in the morning as it takes sooo much time going through all your information that you lose time. I got mione at 4 in the afternoon!

Always keep trying...even after your arrival, check with guest services at your resort.
One year we were able to get our in-laws into Hoop Dee Doo Revue at the last minute!

As everyone says, definately keep trying. I, for one, constantly change my reservations until departure and I know I'm not alone. I reluctantly had to let my O'hana one go for this year due my friends' lack of enthusiasm. I will go one day!
