Hi,

We made all our dining reservations prior to Disneys new cancellation policy. If we need to cancel a reservation less then 24 hrs. would we be subject to the new policy?

Thanks.

The cancellation policy has been in place for more than 180 days, so I find this hard to believe.

I will say yes, you are subject to pay $10 a head if you cancel within less than 24 hours or don't show up.

When did you make your ADRs? I have to believe that they have been charging the fee for over 6 months now. I'm pretty sure they started at the end of October. So unless your trip is in the next 2 weeks you will be subject to the fee.

Do you have any confirmation emails for your dining reservations? If so, the credit card guarantee is reflected in the email if it applies.

For example, mine has the following:

Credit Card Guarantee
Your American Express ending in #### is being used to guarantee your reservation. It will only be charged in the event that your party does not arrive as scheduled. To keep from being charged, please cancel your reservation within the allotted cancellation period.

Failing that, if you don't know if your reservations are CC guaranteed, I'd suggest you assume they are and cancel 24 hours ahead if necessary. Or, it's $10 per person, up to you if that's too much.

I thought the policy went into effect on 10/31/2013. So, if you're checking in on or after April 29th, I would think all of your ADRs are subject to this policy.

Mine that have the CC guarantee also show up in MDE. If I click "My Reservations and Tickets" and look at my dining reservations, those that required a credit card have a little demarcation just below them saying "Credit Card Guarantee" with a clickable information button next to it (hovering over the button produces a pop-up reminding you of the cancellation policy). Those with no Credit Card Guarantee don't have anything in that spot.

We made them early October I believe, actually my TA did. We arrive in less then 2 weeks.

Your TA agreed to the cancellation policy when the ADRs were made. Hopefully you have the confirmation numbers for each reservation in case your TA got the date and/or time wrong.
