If you move your reservation, does the cancellation policy change?
Yours was a lateral move inside of 45 days so they are less likely to wave the fees. Had you upgraded to from a value or a moderate or upgraded to club level at the Poly they would have typically waived them. Also had you been outside of 45 days there would have been no fees regardless of which way you went.Today I switched from the 4/3 deal to the 40% off deal. The 4/3 deal at the poly was 2595, and the 40% deal they just offered was 2372. EVERYTHING stayed the same, but they charged me a $50 change fee and a $15 late change fee. $65 to stay in the same room, same view, same hotel, same tickets, etc. Still netted $158 in the change, but there was no "waiving" of fees here :-D
Incidentally, were arriving on the 17th of Jan, so it was within the 14 day limit. No biggie though, Im happy to get 158 refunded!
Yes, as I said... If it's revenue neutral or costs more they'll waive the fees. If they lose money, you pay the fees.Yours was a lateral move inside of 45 days so they are less likely to wave the fees.
