It’s a good idea from Disney’s standpoint. Close an attraction and use that space to sell $7 food samples. It's been used in the past for Food and Wine, maybe they plan to do that again this year?

Was there ever any discussion as alternatives to taking the Canada theatre?
Also is there any ever discussion of how “closed” everything is in that pavilion? It really seems they just have no care or direction for this space. I’m not trying to constantly complain, it’s just so disappointing that leadership just seems ok with all of this.
If they could open one of the 10+ closed stores and restaurants in the park and do the cider house there. From what I've read on here, there's nothing stopping them from playing the film on loop and leaving the railings for people to eat on. They get their precious festival cash and there's still something to actually do in the pavilion other than "buy something".
They could, but you “pay” for the attraction with your admission ticket. Shouldn’t have to talus buy food to experience it. Would be like turning spaceship Earth into an omnimover buffet. From what I've read on here, there's nothing stopping them from playing the film on loop and leaving the railings for people to eat on. You’re right, eCanada has the château space that COULD be a pop up bar location with a bit of TLC (can’t handle an actual QSR tho). What about the Norway lounge, or I dunno, Akershus, Restaurant Marrakesh, The Seas Salon, or why not the China theatre if they have to take such space, and then also use the time to start preparing for the seamless movie. I just can’t believe that a park that is already such a mess decides to take a NEW attraction offline that they even advertise in the epcot experience offline to make it a food venue! If they could open one of the 10+ closed stores and restaurants in the park and do the cider house **** there.
I mean there are two closed locations in Canada alone
So youre on the conveyor belt and the sushi stays still? That sounds impractical - you'd need kitchens on every level.Would be like turning spaceship Earth into an omnimover buffet.
Or the closed canada store, the other closed Canada store, tangerine Cafe, the old stores and seating area by the chimney in Morocco, the stores by pooh in the UK, world showplace, space 220, the quick serve in China, upstairs restaurant in France. I'm sure I'm missing others...You’re right, eCanada has the château space that COULD be a pop up bar location with a bit of TLC (can’t handle an actual QSR tho). Exactly. Plenty of options. They just brought in a whole bunch of CPs for world showcase merchandise but yesterday no additional stores were open. I asked the CM in Canada when the other shops would be opening and was told “we don’t know yet” I mentioned how everything in Canada was closed ...”I know, we’re sorry”Or the closed canada store, the other closed Canada store, tangerine Cafe, the old stores and seating area by the chimney in Morocco, the stores by pooh in the UK, world showplace, space 220, the quick serve in China, upstairs restaurant in France. I would not be surprised once the other resorts open up that CPs work over there to fill needed roles.Exactly. Plenty of options. I hear what you’re saying, but we shouldn’t have to choose that over nothing at all, they should just have the attraction... be an attraction. You wouldn't have to buy food to enter, you could walk in anytime to watch. You'd just have to deal with people chugging cheddar soup next to you. Which, honestly I would prefer than not getting to see the new film at all.
I mean it shouldnt even be an issue. The cider place should just be the booth. But for some reason people want grizzly "filet" and soup on 100 degree days...I hear what you’re saying, but we shouldn’t have to choose that over nothing at all, they should just have the attraction... be an attraction.
That in itself was a Canadian experience!!I mentioned how everything in Canada was closed ...”I know, we’re sorry”
Except she was from KissimmeeThat in itself was a Canadian experience!!
Very meta. That in itself was a Canadian experience!!
Uh didn't tearing out half of Innovations already prove that?Of course not. It was a thinly veiled poke at the disdain current management show to those paying ever increasing admission fees.
I actually think having the shops on the second level transformed into a little courtyard could be quite nice.I mean it shouldnt even be an issue. The cider place should just be the booth. But for some reason people want grizzly "filet" and soup on 100 degree days...
Would be nice if they made it a little terrace area like in old montréal and québec, use one of the buildings as the bar and have outdoor seating . Would be a nice place to escape some crowds.I actually think having the shops on the second level transformed into a little courtyard could be quite nice.
And when did they start serving grizzly bear????
The new Pixar movie Turning Red takes place in Toronto. Perfect time to add an art exhibit to a closed building in Canada to showcase the movie!
