Can you really tell a difference between orange and green Mission Space?

Having ridden both on the same day....they actually both feel really similar to me.

What if there is no "non-spinning" version?

Don't know if I could stomach riding Mission Space-Orange again. Rode it on our first trip and felt light-headed and had a headache for quite a while after exiting the ride. To be fair, I'm not a fan of anything that spins you around, even the tea cups. Never rode MS again until our last trip, where I decided to give Green a try. Much to my delight, it was A LOT better for me and I felt fine after getting off the ride. I would definitely go on it again on future trips, whereas I probably wouldn't have if it only offered up the Orange experience to park visitors. :)

yes!!! one is a movie and light action. the other is full blown you feel the same feelings you would in space, as in gforce.

glad you road the less intense version the second round. i will never understand why my one friend will still ride orange despite the fact she always gets sick on it and has to go back to the room for the rest of the day :(

Both really different. My DW gets sick on the orange version but then again she also gets nauseated on the flying carpet virtual ride at Disney Quest. If your ok with spinning & simulated gforce then give the orange ride a go its well worth the wait time.

I rode green then immediately afterwards rode on orange. There is definite difference. Orange is far, far better in my opinion and I will probably bypass green next time round.

Same here, I don't get sick when I ride Orange, but I can definitely feel the difference. I usually love thrill rides, but I always opt for Green. I just get more nervous on Orange.

I feel a diference between the two. I rode orange when it first opened and there was no other option. I was queasy and had a head-ache after riding it for about an hour. I was so thrilled when they offered the green version because I am a space nerd (still get tears in my eyes when I see space shuttle take offs). So, now I am able to enjoy the ride.

I couldn't tell you because I always ride the Orange version. Love that weightless feel you get for about 3 seconds.

YES! I rode Orange for the first time ever after the WDW Marathon in January. Sore legs and sore stomach kept the rest of the evening uneventful.

I've only rode the Green, and was sick with a migraine after, so I can't imagine trying Orange. My husband felt woozy after Green too, but he still wants to try Orange. I told him he could, but if he gets sick I'm not going back to the room with him! Wife of the Year here! ;)

I avoided this ride until our trip last year when my DH begged to go on it. So I told him we could try the Green one since I get nauseated on the tea cups, space mountain and parts of soarin (I use to be able to handle rides much much better, not sure what changed all of a sudden). However this trip I wore one of those motion sickness patches behind my ear that seemed to be working wonders, until I rode mission space. I didn't get sick, but I had to sit down for about a half hour after we rode and I had a throbbing headache the rest of the day. I felt bad because he LOVED the ride, and I told him he could ride it again without me, but he said he didn't want to do anything without me. Atleast we got to try it once.

YES... I've never been sick from a ride, plane, boat etc etc etc but in 2010 I rode Orange and my eyeballs were actually vibrating back and forth, a symptom of veritgo.

I ruined my whole day...

Yes! Most definitely. I don't suffer from motion sickness but I can feel a huge difference from orange and green. My dad gets motion sickness and I think he was riding the ride for me at the time but he got sick afterwards. What a champ and a good dad! Needless to say I will never ask him to do that again. My fiance also prefers the green especially when we are coming right from The Electric Umbrella ;)

Yes! Weird story.... I have suffered from motion sickness for my entire life. Car rides over 100 miles were torture. I rode MS- Orange thinking I would be very sick but could at least say I did it. I rode it and did exactly as instructed. I stared intensely at the screen. I did not get sick. I did have incredible pressure on my chest. When I got off the ride I felt a little dizzy. During the course of the day I would have an occasional bout of light dizziness and nausea. After that I was fine. It did not ruin my day. Now here comes the weird part. I have never had motion sickness since that time. It’s like it reset something in me. I am so happy with the fact that I no longer have motion sickness that I will never ride MS again. Why chance it!

Yeah, before there were 2 options and the ride was mellowed it was waaaaay more intense. I had a hard time with it then.
