Can you get a Photopass Photographer to follow you?

We have a private portrait sitting with one of the Disney photographic services professionals in the Magic Kingdom in the Rose Garden by the castle scheduled for 9:00 am the morning of Dec.1st. The sitting fee with professional proofs and a folio w/4"x5" pics is $275. Once we get the proofs (usually about 6 weeks later) we can start ordering our family portraits. We needed family portraits this fall anyway. When looking at various studios in our area and finding out how much it would be I decided to see what our options would be if we did something while at WDW. I don't think what they offer is unreasonable. Plus, we'll have great pics in the most happiest place ever. I can't wait!

Have you been given the costs for ordering prints? If they are the same as the wedding photos they will range from $12 for a 4 x 5 to $30 for an 8 x 10.

I have the price list in front of me as I type. :) The portrait packages range from $75 to $325. Retouching is $50/hour with a 1 hour minimum. Ala Cart Portraits range $30 for a 4x5 to $380 for a 30x40. Reprints run along the lines of what you mentioned but I think that's if you buy the reprints in addition to a package. Also, they do an artist's canvas thing which I think is what looks like an oil painting on canvas for an additional 50% ((this is what I really want)). Also there are a list of various family albums that can be purchased with different numbers/sizes of pictures ranging from $295 up to $1250. Aaaand there's 'Gift Folios' you can buy ranging from $42.50 up to $195. All these prices are in addition to that initial session fee of $275. It's not cheap. If I hadn't already been looking to blow like $1500 for good family portraits this year I wouldn't have considered this at all.

ok, cool. They kinda avoided the question of print costs when I asked them for my wedding and I accidentally let it drop in the crazyness of getting everything else ready. I would hate for anyone else to get the sticker shock after the fact like I did so I was just trying to spread the word.

When you called to ask questions about your wedding, who did you talk to?

Oh yeah! I'm sure I was driving Scarlett nuts with all my questions. She had to seriously reassure me that these would not be anything like Photopass pics. Don't get me wrong. I love love love Photopass and am a huuuuge fan of their work. I just want something really nice, portrait quality, etc. Then I had to convince the DH that these would be beautiful portraits, not Photopass stuff. LOL! Thanks for the tip, tho. I imagine if I hadn't been given this pricelist until after the fact I'd have probably :hurl:'d. LOL!
