Can we get a better deal?

We are booked at Saratoga Springs with my AAA discount. My son and I have AP's but the rest of the family does not. We didn't do 7 for 4 deal as it seemed it would have cost us more. Does that sound right? I was thinking that if we booked the package special with non-expiring PH's and just the 2 of us APers would not use the package tickets... I just am not sure that I understand how that deal works, or if it would work for us. We have 2 APers and 6 first time visiters... for our trip the 15th-21st of June... Any thoughts?

Try pricing out your trip with the stay 4/get 3 deal on disneyworld.com. On the opening page the little "corner" turns down on the right corner of the picture and you can follow links there. Price it out with 1 day base tickets for everyone. Then when you get to WDW after you check in you can go to guest relations outside a park and have the MYW tickets for your 1st timers upgraded to however many days you want with parkhopper or the other plus options. If either of the Passholders are due to renew you can have the unused 1 day ticket for those people stripped from the room key and they will apply the cost of the ticket to your pass. This is what I did for our most recent trip. Even if you aren't going to use those 2 base tickets you can do the math to see if it comes out cheaper if you just eat that cost. Also, if you don't use the 1 day tickets you can save your room key and apply them to your next AP renewal. I can tell you, the stay 4/get 3 was a better deal than the AP discount for us. For our trip in January we had 5 1-day passes on our package. I stripped 3 to get FL Seasonal passes for me & my sons. My hubby's AP is good thru May. He was told to keep the room key because that 1 day MYW ticket will not expire. Remember, MYW tickets expire within 14 days of 1st use. He has never used it. Whenever it's time to get him a new pass we can take that old room key and have the ticket stripped. My brother upgraded the ticket on his room key to a 10 day parkhopper. It worked out great for us!

Also, if you book the buy 4, get 3 free package at Saratoga Springs for your dates, you would get a $100 gift card at check in. Be sure to factor that in!
