Can this even be considered a rumor?

i'm glad you brought this up, because i, too, would always have terrible luck with on-board audio or the screens not syncing properly to the audio, etc. but this past trip, i had a perfect show at test track. all the footage cued at the right times, the audio was crisp and clear. i was almost taken aback by how well everything worked.

That's outstanding! I admit, my experiences lately with the on-board audio/video have been bad luck, becasue if it were consistent, I think I'd be reading more about it on these boards. We'll I'm back there in about 75 days or so, so I'll be hoping for a good (with audio/video) ride then!

Yeah, he's just changing into saying UoE, WoL, and the Odyssey are getting updates now.

I have not changed anything! I have not been specific on what pavilions are getting refurbished but I'm sure you know since you think it is Universe of Energy and Wonders of Life. You really need to stop being negative. If you don't like the information I'm giving, then disregard it!

OK then, what other pavilions are even possible?

The Land - no. Most popular attraction in the park. Not going to change.
The Seas - no. New, popular, not in need of refurb.
M:S - no. The ride isn't going anywhere, the post-show area wouldn't warrant concept art.
Test Track - you said 'after Test Track'
Imagination - you said 'it isn't Imagination'
Innoventions - you said you aren't referring to Innoventions
SSE - any minor changes that may occur aren't enough to be considered a refurbishment. Not with blueprints and concept art, as you mentioned seeing or being told of.

That leaves Wonders of Life and Universe of Energy. They are the only two possibilities.
And now you've added The Odyssey to a list of planned refurbishments that you have heard about.
It doesn't have anything to do with 'liking' the 'information'. I would love it if they reopened WoL, and refurbished UoE. However, I don't think your 'information' that you are 'giving' is in any way accurate, and you are just trying to spread rumors.

Fair enough. However, there is a way to be nice rather than just write someone off. The information I have is credible and so is the source. If you choose not to believe it, then don't.

One other thought: I guess he could be referring to Innoventions as a pavilion. We've heard that rumor before, with Stark Expo replacing it at DLR and something else here. I would put that much more plausible than them reopening WoL. I would welcome an overhaul to UoE though. I haven't been on it in years.

Iron Man is still under the Universal Studios for Orlando theme park rights - that won't happen in Florida until that changes.

Fair enough. However, there is a way to be nice rather than just write someone off. The information I have is credible and so is the source. If you choose not to believe it, then don't.

Here's where most of us are coming from. Most of the time someone with any derivation of the word "insider' or "imagineer" is someone trolling this site. Established sites like this have a hierarchy of trusted sources (Lee, juan, raven and of course Steve (wdwmagic) are the primary ones on here). Until your worth is proven, your credibility will have to be suspect. The individuals listed above have posted rumors that have turned out to be cancelled at one time or another but their credibility had been established.

You would have to be correct on this rumor, and then you would be believed on subsequent rumors.

Having said that, I'm in a layover in Nashville right now en route to the D23 convention - if you're out there I'd love to talk to you.

I thought school started back this week? :brick:

I mean seriously, what insider is going to come on a Disney fan site and post constantly about what they know, yet can't share anything of actual substance. It sounds all too familiar...

Hello

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I'm just going to say this. You are an ignorant . Making the assumption that I'm a child, makes you look like a child. Is there really a necessary need to put people down? I'm guessing it is helping with your insecurities. I'm also guessing you are the 500 pound woman in a motorized wheelchair who complains when she can't use the Fastpass lane so she ruins everyone else's fun?

Agreed! No need for it and it doesn't fit thematically in EPCOT. We don't need another ride in EPCOT screaming "I'm based on a movie, so go out and buy copies of the DVD!" A Cars overlay at Test Track would give me just one more reason to spend less time (and therefore money) in the parks.

Other than riding once on my first trip following the Nemo overlay at the Living Seas, I haven't set foot in the Seas building, and I won't again until the Nemo theming is gone (I know I have a LONG time to wait). Removing that one ride from my schedule has cost Disney money that I would have otherwise spent in the park...not that it makes a difference to them. Cars at Test Track make me do the same thing...and cause me avoid seeing Cars 2 and buying Cars merchandise in the future.

^ This.

I completely agree. Epcot was supposed to be a permanent World's Fair -- not, as you point out -- a movie-trailer haven for Disney cartoons and movies. Nemo is bad enough -- that whole pavilion has gone down the crapper since Nemo and friends arrived.

I remember when Epcot Center first opened, they said there would be NO Mickey Mouse within the park at all -- that lasted about 2.2 seconds.

Sorry; I'm rambling here. I really hope they don't overlay TT with anything Cars related. Fix it up, fine, but don't turn it into a cartoon.

The problem is nobody knows the source or even if YOU are credible.

There have been WAY too many instances of people coming here claiming to be an "Insider" only to later be discovered to be nothing more than some bored home schooled kid.

To be fair: E.P.C.O.T. was never supposed to be a theme park. It was supposed to be a city. So you can't say what it is, or supposed to be, because the original idea was (rightfully) never realized.

I am hopeful you speak some truth.

You spoke that Future World would "shine" once again. Something about reclaiming the "future" part of future world. (Sorry, I read this whole thread, but I'm on a mobile device and going back to quote isn't an option.)

I'll throw my speculation in the ring on the eve of D23... the former Wonders of Life Pavilion is utilized pretty solid as an event space. It is also tucked away and not as apparent as the other pavilions. I believe the glaring holes in future world are the more prominent buildings.

I would like to see them focus on Mission Space and UOE. From the "hints" above both buildings are shiny and do focus on a view of the future.

Mission Space and Energy could be refurbished also without drastic alterations to the buildings. Both concepts could also be more closely linked with good rewrites.

I may no have the insider stuff like Lee and some other guys have but I have my opinion on what should happen.

I think the imagineers should do some digging in there history and over lay these rides with something that the true Disney fans will love and introduce the young ones with characters who they don't know yet and should know!

Walt Disney built the parks to promote his movies both past, present, and future.

1. Turn Mission Space in a Rocketeer them where you fly around with the Rocketeer.

2. Make Test Track into a Tron thrill adventure! If that means gut it then do it!

3. Keep Nemo and friends because the kids love it! Most might hate it but it needs to appeal to kids too.

4. Add, not change, but Add to World Showcase, keep what the adults love the food and shops and ADD attractions for the kids and big kids! Bring some old ideas back like Mount Fugi, and maybe come up with other thrill attractions and non thrill attractions that educate about the country but also entertain just like Walt did years back with his Adventureland series.

:)

This is starting to become silly.

I'm not sure any of this is true, however, why would Disney update WoL when UoE and Imagination (two much more visible structures) are weak and don't help with crowd control much? (not many visitors).

I would argue that Imagination is the first thing they should touch. In fact, I'm pretty sure the rumors have been stronger over the past couple years for an Imagination redo than UoE or WoL.

As for Test Track...they just need to fix the screens on the vehicles...those things are old and finicky.

My opinion on this

What InsiderImagine says also lines up with what ThemeParkOne on twitter said. He says their are bold proposals for Future World, and when I tried ask for more info, he said that they are still in development. You can check his Q&A sessions on twitter for more details on what he said about the Future World updates. Not saying their lying or telling the truth, just that there is overlapping info hinting at something happening at Future World.

Then perhaps ThemeParkOne has found his way to WDW Magic and is calling themself InsiderImagine. That's one plausible explantion for their stories backing each other up.
