I think I did something very stupid and now I can't get my pictures back onto Photoshop. I had them there but it said something about stacking them and I hit cancel.:brick:Well, my pictures are gone and I went to do it again and it said that they have already been done and it will not redo it. I am freaking out!! Can anyone help me with this or am I just out of luck?

I am kicking myself!!

Did you copy them from another location?
Did you make duplicates before resizing, cropping, etc?
Did you check windows explorer/program files/adobe/photoshop? They may be there!

DO NOT turn off your computer. DO NOT delete anything!

I can still see the pictures in the file. They are on a disc so my pictures will be okay. It's just that I hit cancel when it said something about stacking them. It looks like Photoshop didn't save them because I hit cancel. Now it wont let me redo it.

Items not imported, items already exist.

What version of Photoshop are you using?

You should be able to click file then go down to open recent.

I always right click on the picture header in photoshop to make a duplicate before any adjustments, that way if anything goes wrong the original is still intact.

You can always go back and delete unnecessary files.

Glad you have a backup. :) You probably need to start over. :(

Thats what I am trying to do, start over but it wont let me "get photos", the ones that I need because it is showing that they are already downloaded to Photoshop. I can't find them anywhere on Photoshop. This is the strangest thing...

can you tell I'm stressed.. lol

I can see them when I go to "get photos" and the file is still there. When I click on them to import it says that they have already been imported. BUT, they are no where in Photo shop. I think when I hit cancel, it cleared them off and it will not let me redo it. :brick:

I think that you will have to close photoshop, delete those files and start over...

BUT....

I've called in backup...don't do anything yet!

Thank you so much!!!

I just found them.... I went under imported and they showed up in there. They would not show for anything anywhere else. I had to save them to my Disney favorites because they still wouldn't show any other way.

Thank you to everyone who helped me!!! I love you guys!

Well, let's see... Either the photos were somehow merged into one blank layer, or the program had an error, or... I dunno!

Hmm.

Is it possible to select "File > Revert" ?

Other than that, I'd kinda have to actually see a screenshot, or actually be there physically in front of the computer. Good that the photos still exist at the very least on the CD.

i know i am coming in here late. but while reading this i just thought of something that might help in the future, if this ever happens again.

you said you could find the pics but ps would not allow the download because they already were downloaded. it might be possible then to go to the pics and rename them, then try "get photos", since they now are renamed, ps should beable to "get photos"

just a thought.

but good to hear it got it worked out!

My general advice to everyone with a Digital Camera is that You should always use a card reader and you should manually copy your photos to wherever you want them to be.
