Can I wear a Minnie Mouse costume at WDW?

I'm not sure if this is the right category, as this is my first thread. I know only little kids are allowed to wear costumes, but what about a Minnie Mouse costume? I'm just talking about the dress. Obviously, a teenage girl wouldn't be confused for the character for this particular costume, so I wondered if it's allowed or not? Thanks so much. :)

If there is any possible way that you would be mistaken for the character, the answer is no.

If it's just the dress, you'd probably be ok, but I would bring a change of clothes just in case they ask you to change.

There was a young couple dressed as Peter Pan and Tinker Bell, and they were asked to change or leave.:( They just looked too much like the characters. Unless you're in FULL costume and could be mistaken for Minnie Mouse herself, then you should be fine. If you share a picture w/ us, then we can determine better whether or not it would be allowed.;)

The Exception to the Rule is You are only allowed to wear a costume during Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween Party which they encourage guests especially adults to dress up in halloween costumes for the special ticketed event.

From the WDW website:
Attire that is not appropriate for the parks—and which may result in refusal of admittance—includes but is not limited to:
  • Adult costumes or clothing that can be viewed as representative of an actual Disney character
  • Masks
  • Clothing with objectionable material, including obscene language or graphics
  • Excessively torn clothing
  • Clothing which, by nature, exposes excessive portions of the skin that may be viewed as inappropriate for a family environment
  • Objectionable tattoos
Adults can visit the parks if their hair (or makeup, if applicable) resembles a Disney Princess or character, provided that they are not also wearing a costume or clothed to look like the character.

The dress codes at WDW are pretty insane.

You cannot wear a tuxedo nor a wedding dress but you can wear distasteful, too revealing, vulgar clothing.

As long as you cannot be confused with a cast member...just about anything goes.

I just hope they never have a pro wrestling land, cuz I always walk around dressed like the Nature Boy -

Just like others have said you should be able to as long as people want get confused between you and an actual cast member. Also just like Anna said people Go 'Disney Bounding', if you don't know what that is look them up on tumblr, instagram, google images and/or i'm pretty sure that have their on website.

Last time I went was in June 2012 and I saw a ton of those Nike shirts that have a vulgar language all over them, I don't understand how they did it but they were.

When I was about 13 I was asked to turn my t-shirt inside out because it had a picture of a caterpillar "mounting" a crinkle cut french fry. It all depends what CM's catch it and whether they care about the dress code.
